  1. Erm , don’t know . Can check … Actually from memory the 1 stair stringer was 150kg so not Ali …?
  2. Can’t I just use a ronseal / hammerite type paint straight to metal type thing ?
  3. What all 15 steps ? 🤔🙄🤣
  4. So spray with etch primer then paint ? ( which type of paint ? )
  5. No idea . Is there a definite way to tell ?
  6. Plastic primer ? Not a steel primer then paint ?? Or do you mean plastic primer over existing ( edge ) of flaked coating , then paint the lot ?
  7. I’ve got a touch up pen for the odd chip etc but as you can see the black coating ( I assume powder coating ) is peeling off . Can I prevent this ? Fix it ?
  8. A cinema room it depends . I wouldn’t want one because our basement lounge area has 120” screen with projector and surround sound . So without being a purist we get that ‘cinema’ feeling ( no back seat naughtiness ) . A basement could be a gym / games room also . Is it worth it ? . I always think a pool occupying internal space would make a resale more difficult. Whilst a ‘room’ which could be anything appeals to more people . Sex dungeons don’t have too look intimidating.
  9. You are on fire today !
  10. Fair play . Pasties made and dead Bristolians - sounds like a win to me
  11. I foam the (expletive deleted) out of everything . I bought a large box of rubber disposable gloves ( ok , I had them already as they have other uses ) . I always buy a foam that needs a gun . I buy the cheap guns off eBay for like a fiver each . Never bother cleaning them . Sometimes they last quite a few cans before they clog; then I bin them . Just to piss @SteamyTea off ; all the cut of waste once cured I stick in the bin and off it goes to Cornwall .
  12. Therefore @Indy get those not allowables ‘free’ with the kitchen …
  13. I thought for example an oven isn’t eligible because it can be literally plug in and take away . Also I thought hobs weren’t but extractors were ( sometime ago so may have that wrong )
  14. Oh ! Not heard of that ! What defines ‘fitted ‘ ?????
  15. Well I guess that’s good . Lots of my adversities have died ( not guilty my lord ) , so they can never apologise . I tend to not forget or forgive …
  16. Agree with all you posted apart from this . Neighbors ignore me ; sometimes I say ‘morning ‘ to force a response . Once they have gone by I always mutter under my breath (expletive deleted)ing (expletive deleted) twat
  17. Not heard of that … sounds cool and expensive though !
  18. Oh I know ! . We just added everything we wanted . So slide out shelves , tambour unit ( spelt ? ) , lighting on worktop edges . Even a mitred joint for the quartz worktop end ( think that was like £500 rather than a standard joint ) . But my view is ; you’re probably only going to do this once so have what you want . Not for me to spend your money though 😊
  19. What I did with all the appliances is get the seller to offer them all too me for free . So if you have 5k of appliances + vat but can’t claim the vat as it’s not allowed on them . Get the seller to add ‘free’ appliances . But increase the total cost by 5k+vat . Then you can claim the vat as technically the appliances were free .
  20. Your kitchen arrangement is similar to ours . Our kitchen ( ignoring install as I did it ) was a similar price also . I think price wise for a German kitchen you are pretty much on the ball . Can you claim the vat back ? I.e this a self build ?
  21. Sorry I’m confused . You talking about your shower tray or that thing between your legs ?
  22. I think you’re worrying too much . Do nothing and wait . Sometimes the less you say the better . Let them make their move next week . Might be easier to post their exact response . Sometimes it’s what isn’t said or what is ( or is not ) implied is important in your defence .
