  1. Just got my quote from idsystems - bit cheaper again for similar products .... Back to IQglass then ...
  2. Might put the core bits in the ‘for sale’ section with some free glazing ?
  3. Hey ! Its a good workout ?️‍♀️ ! * for now * all the heavy corring done ...
  4. It’s about 200mm thick . The core bits were £30 ish each - so I’m guessing that’s cheap / crap ones ???
  5. 100mm done in 2.5hours . Wine required later !
  6. Thanks current door I’m looking at is from rk door systems
  7. Hey ! As our house is mainly underground the front door is above ground . It will no doubt become a pain going upstairs to answer the door . So a electronic activated lock seems the answer with Cctv - so door can be opened remotely for us lazy people . Another aspect that could be added was a finger print scanner to unlock the door externally - wife always fluffs to find the front door key ; but it’s £700 So ; I was trying to think of a way that simply her having her phone and being in the presence of the door and outside would cause it to unlock . Any ideas ? - assume this would be somewhat cheaper than £700 !!
  8. Triple glazed u value from same supplier Sieger XL Sliding Doors - 1.2Schuco Casement Door - 1.4Sieger Casement Windows - 1.3-1.5depending on size
  9. Nope ; it just vibrates like mad !
  10. An easy 150mm because it was through timber frame . This is for ASHP pipework
  11. Most companies tbh don’t even respond - guess they don’t want my money . Or start at a dumb price - so I then ignore them ...
  12. But I have the drill and bits now. Determination will allow the others to happen. It's a heavy workout - no gym today! ?
  13. Yeah ; we want contemporary modern ( which always seems to cost more ! ) . Internorm stuff looks good but to ‘chunky’ I think for us .....
  14. Iqglass ? . Not cheap - but seems good quality and minimalistic...
  15. This is the largest . 150mm for pipework to ASHP . They also need another 100mm one for the ufh pipework . So worst one done . Took about 4 hours in total with rests ?
  16. Success ! But knackered!!
  17. Thanks Part of the issue is i’m Up against the ceiling - so trying to get the hole up there . Makes it awkward / impossible to get my body behind it . Will persevere just because I want to post a photo of it complete !!! ?
  18. And there I was being ‘clever’ buying a 2nd hand Makita core drill and new core bits . Almost at half way - knackered lol . Will take my time ( like I have a choice ) and just get this 1 home done today .
  19. Now drill cuts out motor runs but no rotation . Assume it had overheated but feels cool . 2cm in only another 18 to go !!!
  20. Nope ! First thing I checked . All the videos make it look easy ! - assume they are cutting through thermalite ! I’m knackered and about 1cm in !!!
  21. Guys ! Decided to start Monday with an easy job ( or so I thought ) Need to core 150mm hole . Have core drill and cutter . Vibrates like f - as you can see from the attempt it’s going all over the place . Have ‘arbour ‘ - think that’s what it is called . I don’t take out the drill bit do I ? As I assume that acts as a guide . Any advice welcome !
