As an ex software engineer all Microsoft windows shite has always been a pain . Mac is based off unix / Linux is very stable . Borrow a Mac for a week - you’ll bin your windows shite straight away .

Fibaro for sensors indigo for Mac as control software . vera and fibaro own controllers I found to be pants - though of course may be good now . Get a 2nd Hand Mac mini and install indigo ( you have to pay for updates ) . Mac is reliable hardware , indigo is solid software . I tried every other permutation . Not keen on any apple or google solution as you will be bound to their eco system.

Hey ! Ok . Getting ready for ufh pipework . We are having a yet to be designed staircase . The plan is it has a self supporting steel spine . So will fix to upstairs steel beam and then land somewhere in the magic yellow box ! As this is a complete guess I was wondering is there any device ( that works ! ) for detecting ufh pipes ( presumably when filled with water ) . Just in case my ‘guess’ is somewhat out .....

Here’s the reply I got It is not always possible to find close equivalents in RAL which is a smaller range. RAL 7012 is close to S 6502-B and 7039 is close to S 6502-Y. Neither RAL colour is neutral as is S 6500-N, but both have the same blackness. Other greys in the RAL range are lighter or darker.
