Agree. Who did you think would pay for the "green" (sic) revolution? Tax payer Who will pay for brexit/covid costs? Tax payer. Always the same. My intention is when I die ( about 300 hundred years from now ) then my carbon footprint should be zero. Then I would have 'cost' the planet nothing and my legacy will live on. I am still dellusional.

Yep. I saw that. I didn't get invited! They are trying to load shift demand. It's a sensible thing to do. No-one remember the Octopus Agile tariff where at certain times of day they pay YOU to take electricity as it's cheaper for them to give it away than store it. The whole infrastructure ( of us micro generating ) will change everything. Some of us will become electric gods. Others will become slaves to us. I like that.

Yes. In summer it will be easy. Winter will require some 'playing' on battery charge and when; to find a sweet spot. At the moment it's a simple timer. More advanced software could look at historic data and indeed the weather ; then adjust to suit. But us 'posse' must lead first, where our lesser men will follow.

For Zooty https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-60312633 Only enough to boil 60 kettles though.

Yep. Very little PV in winter. That's why you charge for 'n' hours at off peak. My peak cost at the moment is 25p. Off peak 5p. So I fill my boots.

Yes there is. Every installer I spoke to is flat out. Buyers spurred by the relatively low PV cost and of course gas etc/ pushing ever higher. Most I spoke to said if you want PV & Tesla battery the wait is 6 months. Presume there's ( at the moment ) less delay on just PV install..... But PV with battery is what you want.

Can't I'll get banned because I am THE bad boy!

I think that’s the same for all of us

That kind of money I reckon a 5kw array

Tipping hot kettle water over your frosted windscreen ?? ?

That should be pv and battery

Yet here we are again

The one I have doesn’t suffer from frost affecting it’s ability . It’s really quiet to run also . I think valiant do one .

Keep fighting . Don’t quit . What are their reasons to object ? . Most neighbors are full or shit ; make lots of noise but don’t do much

New build floorplans - opinions welcome

Ffs get a new architect. If the architect can’t glean from you what you like and take that into account to please the a hole planners then he is just happily taking your cash . Remember you are the boss - you are paying him . Go in your local planning portal find approved planning designs you like - usually you’ll find an architect mentioned multiple times . Also / or ( at more cost ) look which architects design for the wealthiest areas in your town - talk to them . Will they cost more ? Yes . Is it worth it ? - probably. A fantastic but expensive design is better than a crap cheaper one . -

Although no one could of predicted the gas/electric price hikes ( or perhaps they could? ) - to me it was obvious that any fossil fuel is a time restricted issue. Also UK electric consumption will double over the next decade ( partially due to shifting from gas ). So whilst I was laughed at with a Tesla battery ROI being pointless - I was right ( smug git ). Already locked in my price for more PV and more battery storage additions. You lot are playing catch-up - so costs of those will undoubtedly reflect the supply and demand economics. Stop thinking and act! ? ( nearest I could find to a smug emoji ) -

My octopus energy export rate has gone from 3p to 4.1p (36% increase ). Not that I want to sell it to anyone.
