How large is it ? Just wondering how much space you lose to insulating internally … ( appreciate you have to though ) .

Another annoying error: cut, hide ignore?

Oh this is easy . ” Hide the problem , hide the shame “ Here’s my ceiling ; look at all that shite I’m gonna hide . For you ? Simples ! . Stick an open laptop on the worktop infront - thank me later 👍 -
Yes but lots of boxes can now disappear. Also the size you want will be the size you can’t find . You’ll then travel to the BM, buy a box the correct size and return home . ‘X’ nanoseconds later you’ll find the box of the screws you wanted . Quantum entanglement plays a large part in self builds . Also temporal time distortion. I recently posted “ 10 yrs ago “ - but it’s not really 10 years . I believe Stephen hawkings just before his death was going to submit a paper on “ Quantum mechanics on a self build “ . Alas , the paper was never finished .

First and only time I’ve read that statement.

Does it still look the same ? 🙄

Nah. Solid virign rock. Also ( what you can't tell from the photo ) beyond that wooden shuttering is a 1m wide lane - so not quite as close to the neighbour as you may think.

Yes 💪💪💪💪💪💪

That was just to be my basic level . Probably got a photo of the rebar raft in the foundation somewhere .

How many screws to fix plasterboards?

Yeah ; do like me . Have loud music on . Think you’re John wick . Then fire those bad boys like you are in a (expletive deleted)ing matrix movie . -
Yeah I did guess BCO will care . Although they've shown zero interest in my project I assume at the completion day when he/she visits it's an easy thing for them to check.

I did manage for 7 years without any insurance 😊

I will . Was going to give them a list of 500 reasons . Probably just simplify it and blame brexit , Covid , war for everything.

After an initial quote for the internal stairs; 3 years later I'm nearing the point of a possible install soon (ish) But my ceiling is all tricky. I know the minimum head height from stair to ceiling must be 2m At the base of my stairs we have a turn and then enter the room. I have 2 ceiling heights at this point. I intend to do the usual sloped ceiling to overcome this. It's impossible for me to gauge the slope angle. Can I just 'box' the ceiling for now. Get the stairs installed i.e. 2m is good; then slope later to suit? Will the staircase install company query this? - or don't they care as long as 2m is there at point of install??

Self build insurance has come through “ if not complete , what are the reasons for the delay ? “ cheeky (expletive deleted)s ! You come and build it !

What would planning say on this design ?

Give a dog a bone ….. 🤔🤣 -
Timber . I’ll glue the board to it to avoid the fittings . Assuming that means he can skim it even thinner .
