  1. I’m 💪💪💪💪💪💪 - so no (expletive deleted)ing bother
  2. Around 80sq m
  3. Only obvious crack in screed is in a doorway ( as you might expect ) - rest of floor is fine .
  4. Actually over a largish area do you need expansion joints AND a decoupling mat ???
  5. Doorway sure . How big was your area and where did you place expansion joints ? ( is there a rule of thumb for this ?? )
  6. Have a decoupling mat and a levelling system . Don’t have any friends so must lay myself ( not rude @Nickfromwales )
  7. Yeah I figure weight would become an issue. I know there is porcelain-thin ( some as low as 4mm! - apparently just as strong ). But pricing for those is always "please call for a quote " - which of course means it is too expensive! Guess I can manage 1000 x 1000 no more than 10mm on me tod . At that size only around 100 of them to lay ....😶
  8. Starting to think about the main floor area. I like large format ( but perhaps not the price ) - wondering how feasible it is for one lowly human to lay them on their own. Large format of course is anything from 1000 x 1000 up.... ( seen as high as 3200 x 3200! ) I assume once back buttered ; the weight ( using glass suction cups ) becomes the issue......
  9. That reply is golden
  10. Lots of pointless advice , so I’ll do it to 1 level .
  11. I don’t know what I need to know
  12. A (expletive deleted)ing drone ? ; at ground level !!! . Get back to your shag shed !
  13. I was wondering that ! . All 1 level or step it ? . Or a reason to do one or the other . I don’t really know what the question is .
  14. looking back at fixed sky light
  15. looking along it towards next sky light
  16. For my sins removed the rotted timbers down the side . Concrete wash out slurries and everything else was sent down here …. Decking has to match height of walk on glazing . If I continue that height seems ‘ high ‘ . Could get past the walk on glazing , make a step down then continue along until next glazing unit . So they’ll be at different heights . I can’t see any reason not to do that . I assume it would look visually better all one height . Just in case anyone asks those plastic legs are just in place roughly so I can an idea !
  17. Save getting any stuff in your eye
  18. The website ?
  19. Metal but plastic coated . Tried to cut with angle grinder - no good just burrs
  20. Went for these . Have a chop saw - but pita at the moment to use .
  21. Trying to cut this think steel trim . Have these snips ( assume they are right for the job . But they bend / warp the steel and don’t seem to cut neat . Better instrument for the task ? ( avoiding using the word tool ! )
  22. Yeah it’s true not flat . I have found that with self levelling kits you can pretty much mitigate the ‘bend’
