  1. Just stick a nice led rope light over it . ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
  2. Precisely. My assumption is if bought here from a reputable seller then meets U.K. regs . Bought direct โ€ฆ. Who knows !
  3. Iโ€™m certain you can get some lights very similar for well under 60 quid in the U.K. . Think I used downlighters.co.U.K. Or something like that . About 11 quid each - great quality too
  4. @Thorfun penny pinching me thinks ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ‘
  5. I always buy lights in U.K. - had some interesting experiences with lights direct from China . Usually can find relatively inexpensive ( but nice looking ) lights here . Easy to return also .
  6. Buying China stuff always a bit maybe / maybe not work . I always fit dimmers to all lights now ( controlled by HA ) then the issue of burning my retina not a problem. I like buying stuff off AliExpress - always a bit โ€œ lucky dip โ€œ - but as so cheap - why not .
  7. Oi ! You flooded your (expletive deleted)ing house again yet ?
  8. Iโ€™m ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช - so no (expletive deleted)ing bother
  9. Around 80sq m
  10. Only obvious crack in screed is in a doorway ( as you might expect ) - rest of floor is fine .
  11. Actually over a largish area do you need expansion joints AND a decoupling mat ???
  12. Doorway sure . How big was your area and where did you place expansion joints ? ( is there a rule of thumb for this ?? )
  13. Have a decoupling mat and a levelling system . Donโ€™t have any friends so must lay myself ( not rude @Nickfromwales )
  14. Yeah I figure weight would become an issue. I know there is porcelain-thin ( some as low as 4mm! - apparently just as strong ). But pricing for those is always "please call for a quote " - which of course means it is too expensive! Guess I can manage 1000 x 1000 no more than 10mm on me tod . At that size only around 100 of them to lay ....๐Ÿ˜ถ
  15. Starting to think about the main floor area. I like large format ( but perhaps not the price ) - wondering how feasible it is for one lowly human to lay them on their own. Large format of course is anything from 1000 x 1000 up.... ( seen as high as 3200 x 3200! ) I assume once back buttered ; the weight ( using glass suction cups ) becomes the issue......
  16. That reply is golden
  17. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„
  18. Lots of pointless advice , so Iโ€™ll do it to 1 level .
  19. I donโ€™t know what I need to know
  20. A (expletive deleted)ing drone ? ; at ground level !!! . Get back to your shag shed !
  21. I was wondering that ! . All 1 level or step it ? . Or a reason to do one or the other . I donโ€™t really know what the question is .
  22. looking back at fixed sky light
  23. looking along it towards next sky light
  24. For my sins removed the rotted timbers down the side . Concrete wash out slurries and everything else was sent down here โ€ฆ. Decking has to match height of walk on glazing . If I continue that height seems โ€˜ high โ€˜ . Could get past the walk on glazing , make a step down then continue along until next glazing unit . So theyโ€™ll be at different heights . I canโ€™t see any reason not to do that . I assume it would look visually better all one height . Just in case anyone asks those plastic legs are just in place roughly so I can an idea !
  25. Save getting any stuff in your eye
