I’d say go for the things that ultimately will save you money long term .
Lots of insulation , pv , ASHP , ufh
If funds permit ; battery and EV ( depending on your requirements )
Everyone loves toys 🧸 !

They even do sex toys !!

Reached 5.4 today for a few seconds. 5KW into SE ; 0.4 to PW
The SE can only be charging or discharging. This creates a dilemma sometimes. PW nearly empty so you want to export SE. But then SE won't charge; so PW will get solar but only upto 3.6 - and of course that "solar" could be a mix of real PV and SE discharge "
I guess this is a limitation - trying to avoid any PV wastage.
I’ve used probably a zillion cans of expanding foam . Tried the cleaner at first never had any joy . I now just buy 10 guns at a time and bin ‘em when fecked
My export on PW is indeed wrong - set at 3.68.
I assume it's a simple case of contacting Tesla and they'll change it?
Presume they can validate themselves it's within the limitations of what the DNO has set.
Original install was pw and 4kw pv and *whatever* inverter
Additions by different company added SE battery , additional PV and changed the inverter .
I can’t be held accountable for what I said in the past . Lifetime of anything I post being valid is around 3 minutes ( like the film memento - though having said that I don’t really remember it all )
Hmmm
Dno says my max export is 8.6kw
I take that as 3.6 pv + 5 pw
Yet I’ve never got PW to export over 3.7 ! . I know the gateway effectively has a limiter ) - wonder if that’s set incorrectly ??
Is it worth changing the inverter ?
I guess the real question is how often ( if ever ) will I get 5.7kw of pv ( as that’s the limit as you suggest ) .
My pv array is split across 2 roofs ; so the array limit of 7kw would only ever be theoretical .
SE battery never set for “ self consumption “ because it can in certain circumstances steal from PowerWall ( that was the main problem in that original thread you linked too ) .
So ! I do wonder why the installer didn’t put a larger ( thru put ) inverter in ? . I’m guessing cost wise ( for me ! ) not a great deal of difference?
But as you say - as long as SE isn’t fully charged it can suck on 5k and potentially 2k to pw/home/grid
