  1. Buy every bit of bathroom fittings you need . Working ‘ backwards ‘ from fitting too ‘ see ‘ how the pipework should be is much easier . Solvent weld is the stuff . If you aren’t brave that it sets in 3 seconds use tiger seal ( or similar ) gives lots more play time . Personally with waste from basin/shower/bath - unless it’s an exceptionally long run then any fall would be suitable . Await @Nickfromwales to tell me off . if your 110mm isn’t far away ( like mine , cause I actually planned that 😁 ) it’s unlikely to be an issue . Now stop fannying and posting and do it !
  2. Hmmmmm …..
  3. Of course ! Plug away !
  4. Let me help you …
  5. Upmarket garden centre gets you better gear for a price
  6. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
  7. Or …. Have no knowledge so no fear . No understanding of what’s required . No knowledge of how to do it . No skill . Then you just do it yourself
  8. Make sure you are given full installer access then you can adjust ToU etc. This is very important
  9. I meant in your pants
  10. Beggars can’t be choosers 😉
  11. He has lots of issues with that after 4 yrs
  12. Muck munchers ?? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
  13. Even I work without a Cscs card - and I’m a pro 👍
  14. I sprayed wd40 on the hole as I go
  15. Saniflo do a toilet with integrated macerator - has an additional input for a shower / basin . Surprisingly quiet ( for a macerator ) .
  16. What controller arrangement do you have for the thermostats ? You could have actuators per loop controlled by this . Then you can control each individually or if you wish have all on or all off I.e as though just 1 big zone .
  17. I was going to post a photo of my hole ; but thought best not …
  18. Googling tells me … Rodents will chew through expanding foam alone, so for rodent proofing this must be used in conjunction with wire wool, copper mesh etc. pack hole with wire wool then foam ?
  19. Cables / pipes all go through a low level opening to the outside world . Was planning on just foaming this gap . But worried a rodent of some kind will just eat through it . Can access the outside but it’s not possible to put any effective mesh as plenty of pipe work ( ASHP and water ) to puncture . What’s best to do here ?
  20. I put pir between rafters ( I was led to believe it’s less heat loss than the equivalent depth of rock wool ) . Foamed any gaps . Then put 50mm pir over the lot . Foamed gaps and taped all joints .
  21. Yeah could be regulatory stuff I suppose.
  22. What about the ac to dc inefficiently ? - 10% is quite substantial
  23. I’ve no issue with my inverter . But as most people new to pv / battery etc. find ; it can take time to swap . e.g a sudden draw can cause it to go to the grid before using pv or battery . Just wondering if anyone knows why this is so ? - for me it can be around 5 seconds or so . Is this just a limitation of current inverter technology ? . Bit like the ac to dc conversion costs 10%. When will these inefficiencies be fixed by more modern technologies?? 😁
