That's one way of paying for it...

Get ali rings cut and have them powder coated with say Interpon HT or similar temperature resisting coating? Either that or some very careful cutting to make plasterboard "Polos" to let in and skim flush.

Get the Aurora spec for the light then look for something like this: https://www.fastlec.co.uk/au-ap600w-aurora-85mm-145mm-downlight-adaptor-plate-white.html

Depending on the make you should be able to get concealer / converter rings to sort this type of fubar: https://www.downlights.co.uk/hole-concealer-jcc-fgled.html What make are they btw? (Should have got the bloke who laid the lawn to fit them! )

Mine are c*****. They sold me my TomTom. Nearly £300. Slipped their mind to mention you had to pay here and ever after for Live Services, Maps and cameras. The thing won't update now either on any OS. Door stop, 'kin useless. They want over £100 to repair. Can't be much wrong with it. Pretty sure it was one of their updates that stopped future updates. Even bought a genuine usb lead off of them (no good). Offered a paltry discount off a new one by TomTom. All you ever get is some call centre that can't speak English and email replies completely missing the issue.

What Tommy's mate says then?

Isn't the lip supposed to go into a suitably sized hole?

It's all pvc just I seem to recall has different uv stabilisation? We had this discussion on my thread a while back. Different makes here as well as colours: 'Kin hope grey sticks to brown! I used Polypipe Gap Filling Cement (comes in a toothpaste tube) rather than the normal brush in a tin stuff on the grey to brown after giving all surfaces a v.light sand & cleaning with IPA . Good price this btw: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Polypipe-GFC100-Gap-Filling-Cement-/252956334377?hash=item3ae55f5929:g:UiUAAOSw0fhXjjVZ It was a bit nearer a clearance than a transition fit! It melts the brown without a doubt. I'll admit still worried I backed it up with a smear of CT1 though it passed the hose test:

Bath Surround / Boxing In, and concealed pipework

Pseudo wc for testing purposes. Works a treat! The cistern then had been filled to the 9L mark for about 24hrs. No sign of any leaks. Tbh I can't see how it could: I noted though that when I removed the smaller, yellow bung to fit the flush pipe some water came out. Not a lot but a little bit. Does that suggest something is letting by? Or could it have been water in there from previous playing? -
I saw Moretti from Screwfix getting a slating on here the other day. Could these be better/worse? 5-year g'tee. Maybe if on a budget etc: https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/Non-Food-Offers.htm?articleId=5164

Don't get me wrong, on one single colour no flicker or anything. Same with "fast" colour change. Just the setting I like, to my mind there's a subtle but annoying (at least to me) "jump". Other settings are fine. (If it's not noticeable in the video it must be me! I have extended the wiring and separated the controller and the strip by several feet whereas before it was only a few inches. Thinking it might be to do with that I bought another set and same issue on that one program. Edit: Easy to change on mine as all in conduit!

As a kid I remember having baths in a pub in Crickhowell. My parents friends ran it. Must have been early 70's. Pretty soft and bubbly I seem to recall compared to what we were used to. -

Point me at one would you please? Cheers. -
I bought a cheap strip for along side the bath. I think the controller is a bit cheap and nasty tbh, just not smooth enough. On the setting I like best there's a nasty "jump" between colour changes. Maybe subtle if in a busy room like the lounge but relaxing in the bath it's effing annoying!

We have very hard water anyway so I'm half expecting future issues. I can have a look see on the spare frame as to what washer is already fitted. -

Now then..."blue stuff"... My missus likes to lift the cistern lid on the existing wall mount WCs and shove in some magic liquid / tablet that makes the water turn blue when you flush. With the concealed Geberit frame that's clearly not an option unless she keeps taking the flush plate off I'm thinking. So...as I've engineered in access from the adjacent cupboard to get to the flexible connector: And that I've overcome my fear of drilling the cistern to fit an MVHR take off: What's the collective thoughts to maybe fitting another pipe / tube into the top of the cistern where she could squirt down "blue stuff" from within the cupboard to dose the cistern? -
Isn't I-Lumos the brand @jamiehamy got the switch / socket samples for but his sparks wouldn't touch, all the instructions in Chinglish etc?

Get yourself an old AM radio and tune it to the low end about 535kHz so you're just hearing static. Bring it near to your LED lamp and turn the lamp on. You should hear any EMI (electromagnetic interference). It'll vary with how far the radio is from the source and with any dimming action. Better suppressed lamps will cause less interference.

What (& where) was the "washer" issue on these I seem to recall in the dim and distant? Something went brittle? -

That's enough for tonight! Filled up the cistern to what I assume is the 9L mark (I dipped the Sharpie in to colour it a bit). If no leaks tomorrow I might start covering it up...might that is... -

Can I recommend to all you EV users the "XLR8" app! If you dab a bit of unleaded around the inside of the car you'll enhance the experience.
