I have a German pan though not with the "inspection shelf". It's a Bernstein and the wc frame within the wall is Geberit. Pan is now £195 delivered. 3 videos: Soft close: Number 1 flush: I've not yet tried it "for real" with a proper, big number zwei, seems quite a good flush? Not adjusted any flush rates all settings just straight out of the box:

Or make the shower hose long enough to reach...

I'd change your diet mate! ?

I've 470mm wall side to the centre line. Loads of room. My pan's 365mm wide. Half of that 182.5mm. If I had your 540mm sink side that'd be 540-182.5 = 357.5mm. Quite a few v.narrow basins about e.g: https://www.bigbathroomshop.co.uk/milano-dalton-white-modern-square-wall-hung-basin-280mm-x-280mm-1-tap-hole-70042

You're going to be fighting mill scale where it's not rusted. I'd mechanically wire brush as best as and wipe down with panel wipe/thinners or white spirit at a push & let dry. Tbh hammer finish would be my choice. Not necessarily Hammerite, imo it's gone right downhill. Flag brand hammer paint is pretty good. Best hammer finish I've ever used though Firwood 130 from a firm in Bolton. Make it a feature and do it in gold, it'd look like the inside of the Nautilus! https://www.firwood.co.uk/categories/industrial-paints/hammer-metallic-effect-finishes/product/firwood-130-rapid-dry-hammer-finish/130

So the steel stays red oxide finish?
-
How's the steel going to be finished? Will you do that before you fit the treads or trial fit the treads and remove/refit?
-
Thanks. You're meaning say 3 courses for instance of (red) engineering bricks first?

Bump. Anyone? @Brickie on the assumption you are one? Looking to order bricks this weekend rather then any exotic gabion esque thing! Might lay them as a helix though...

Tiling is not my forte! Worst bit of the whole job.

C/w bath side shelf for oversize, girly lager glass! PRE sticking the tiles down I might add!

Do they do Lancaster Bomber on draught?

Part of the story only: Not from the start i.e all the excavation and building back up of the floor. That was on the old eBuild forum. All the pics from the start are here though: https://flic.kr/s/aHsk23FYzd

Tell my wife please! ?

Yep, been there, done that! The floor of my bath is level with the tiled floor in the rest of the bathroom. The pir is directly under this red Poly Pipe panel. I've 150mm pir total. 50mm sitting on top of 100mm. Marine ply tray set into the pir by cutting the Poly Pipe tray and removing the 50mm layer. So my bath has 100mm PIR underneath. Slot cut for 50mm waste too: Waste foamed in: A142 mesh down, ready for concreting: I taped over the ply box with DPM: Concrete in pre floating: Drying, DPM piece removed: A bit of grey floor paint, bath frame going in: Custom made feet! Being tanked: Trap access - should have made a bit easier tbh but didn't account for all the 20mm conduits in there for the lights: Finished.....'ish...

Can't think of the 70's group but as an 17 year old apprentice our firm's mechanic had been their roadie/mechanic. They would take a MK1 diesel Transit and fit a 3.0 Essex and a few aircraft seats in the back. It was a quick, incognito way of getting to gigs as in a battered old van whilst the fans mobbed the tour bus. The bonus for me was all the company cars were Fords and I had my own Ford Capri. I never, ever paid for a service part and used to get ridiculous main dealer discounts for stuff like trim. He'd waltz in to our office with a box of service parts and dump them on my desk saying "Ramps free at lunchtime!". Sometimes if he was free he'd even service it for me. My boss didn't mind as he didn't drive & I used to run him home. Happy days!

Of course no home cinema is complete without seating... http://www.skyart.com/aircraft-seats/skyline-recaro-electronic-first-class-seat-single/ My cousin in Florida had similar in his cinema / gun room. From a 747 I think ...

Part of SWMBO's late cousin's collection given to us. My lad is quite into the whole fossil/geology thing. https://flic.kr/s/aHsm3T5wq4 Tbh my favourite is, I think a tribolite, we found in our garden cracking a flint open after my brother suggested it held something good. Will try and find it. @pocster was trying to sell me his windows so I could recreate the Natural History Museum and display them behind lit glass panels! I'm loving/ intrigued by your tiles, do you buy them like that?

Call that a fossil? And as for giant poo: ?

Just bought some Sawn Kiln Dried 47×47 from Wickes. £25.27 for a pack of 6 2.4m lengths. Normally I'd buy 45x45 Eased Four Edge Treated Carcassing at £1.34/m + VAT from the local timber yard. Green tinge and easy to handle. Would have cost me £23.16 inclusive. I don't like that it's stored in the open and often wet. I suppose it sells so quickly? This Wickes stuff came six in a pack, shrink wrapped. Nasty sharp edges , worse where you have to pick the giant splinters off. One with a kink only good for cutting down, another couple with bends I had to spring out when screwing to the wall. About one step up from firewood imo. New timber isn't always good!
