  1. Just when they thought it safe to go into the bathroom... @nod, that 6" vertical strip on the left is where a tapered edge butts up to a square cut edge. I've meshed over it but should I fill first with Easy Fill before plastering? Ta.
  2. Just leave a robo mower on the roof?
  3. Content filter's working as it should by the sounds of things! ?
  4. As you descend the stairs is there a full height window directly in front? Doesn't that allow the building's "energy" to flow out of the house according to the principles of Feng shui? (As in a curved path to the front of a house is better than a straight one).
  5. I would have thought the solution was obvious...
  6. Deep pockets? Sageglass:
  7. Price reduced here: https://www.ergonomicdesigns.co.uk/product/RKRFXGW~rak-feeling-slimline-90mm-shower-waste.html
  8. Mate has one and he's built it a "kennel" where it goes back to bed & charge. An astro turfed table lift that sits level with the lawn is on his wish list.
  9. There was a thread on here somewhere ref the off gassing of such materials I think. I'm sure MVHR helps greatly in getting rid of that "new build" smell and any accompanying nasties. Not sure though I'd want to live in there if it was noxious. Guess earth wools and cellulose are friendlier in that sense.
  10. So you did this yourself? No offence but it doesn't look filled to the full joist depth. Is that an issue? Or had it not expanded in the photos? Is that why very little cutting back?
  11. How are you going to know how wide & deep to make your footings or whether you need to pile etc without employing an architectural technician and/or structural engineer? Some guidance on the process here: https://www.homebuilding.co.uk/foundation-systems-and-soil-types/
  12. The 3 compartment ones are what you see in offices. You can though inlay carpet, tiles etc: https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/categories/floor-boxes-cavity-floor-boxes
  13. News to me, I'm an advocate of the puffer.
  14. £16.36 spent on an 8GB compact flash card and 2.5" ide adapter. I presume I need to image the HDD I want to put on the cf card.
  15. If there's a screed going down won't that retain the spine laterally?
  16. What you should have done was had some walk on glazing there so as to see the pipes... ? I all seriousness I reckon you're somewhat screwed if there's foil faced pir under there. What would sense through that?
  17. An accurate drawing or photos, or both of the pipe layout is best. Cover meter? I've used one to find RSJs under an existing concrete roof for which there were no structural drawings. ...ground penetrating radar...see @tonyrobinson ? Why not, where the base of the spine lands leave a hole in the screed or glue a base plate down.
  18. Nothing indecent. Just pics of young, ripped, tanned, buff GUYS! Doesn't float my boat...though there was that volleyball scene in Top Gun... ?
  19. Welcome!
  20. I know YOU want me to! All gone, trying to forget them. I'm a ?man anyway. Last eBay lappy I bought I recovered their skiing holiday pics with one choice apres ski pic! Taken on a low res mobile but Google searched the image and it appears "real".
  21. 20+ years. Will never be connected to the internet.
  22. Thanks. I know the laptop is that old it won't boot from USB. Would it see the CF card in the BIOS I wonder?
  23. Thinking of splurging £25 on one of these: Yes to go in the very old Dell laptop. Speed is not the issue. It'll be a Win2K install, at a stretch maybe XP though I've always found that less stable. I got to thinking... Is there a way, maybe by means of an interface to fit say an 8GB memory stick in place of a removed 2.5" ide/pata HDD?
