I was only one out (sorry, just looked at the picture and it looks the same). However rubi are good quality IMO.
-
Ah, didn’t realise that. ?
-
-
No it didn’t, it’s fairly straightforward tho.

Yes, they price matched an online supplier (not within 10 mile radius) but didn’t seam to know what to do, but did it anyway ?
-
I bought one of these and it’s great, best tile cutter I have ever used, screwfix matched an online price as well so got it a bit cheaper.

Right, I don’t do CAD or anything posh, I am a pencil and paper man. See my very rough and ready drawings as below, 6inch posts (vertical) sat on ground screws driven in till they hit solid matter, 9x2 joists to support the deck, these to be repeated every 400mm (use joist hangers) and cross braces of 4x2. All joints to be M12 bolts (galvanised), all timber to be pressure treated. You will need a deck if the shed/other does not have a floor. Obviously all dimensions to fit your ground, shed/other. Others will be along now with other ideas but this is what I would do.

Using a garage as a caravan awning.

I built my garage under permitted development and got a door height of 2.5m (by having a overhang of 800mm on the roof to stop rain driving in when the door is open) and having a roller shutter inside of the walls. Out of interest I measured my static and it’s 2.6m (so I might get it in if I remove the wheels, run it on the hubs). P.S. it’s for sale cheap ?. -
Ha, with our site ( yellow clay) the building inspector said he knew what we would find so specced 800mm deep trench, when dug out he visited and said “yup, I was right, fill er up”. No S.E. no fees ?

It will end up being expensive crazy paving ?

I have just had my rangemaster converted but I have no ideas about numbers, perhaps message the Ebay seller for confirmation that the jets are for your cooker?

From my point of view, ground screws can be wound it till they hit stable/hard ground which may even be below the stream bed, you just keep winding till they are solid. Any ground above that does not have to be stable (think of a seaside pier, sand moves but pier stays still). Timber structure can be DIY (we can give you a design) . No heavy equipment to ruin your lawn, diggers, cement mixers, hairy assed builders ? and if you dig you have to get rid of the spoil (tell me about it, I have 100 tons of clay that no one wants). If you are not sure about DIY timber structure there are decent wood workers about ( look for recommendations from people that have had work done locally.) just wait for others to agree/disagree.?

I lived in my static van on and off over two years and used Gas and electric heaters, yes it got cold quickly if they were turned off but as it’s so small I was impressed how little fuel it used. We ended up renting a parkhome nearby for six months because my wife got a job locally and as a professional she could not turn out like me in the morning (builder ?) The parkhome Was bigger but cost us a fortune in Gas to heat (winter months) and frankly we were glad to get in our “almostl finished house and cook in the caravan rather than waste money renting. I think prodaves idea of a wood stove would have been a good idea. -
DIY ground screws need no heavy equipment, diggers, concrete, blocks etc, just wood fixed to top of them to carry deck/shed, simples.
-
Spookily I was just browsing for block paving for our patio/paths and found “simply paving “ to be cheaper than paving direct (well for the sets like was thinking of).
-
Well, standard down pipe is 68mm, I would have thought this would cope very well on the flat with such a small roof. Others will be along shortly to confirm/deny.
-
The size of pipe depends on what area of roof you are draining really ?

We bought our American fridge freezer through AO and they were great, on unwrapping I found a very small dent on the door right at eye level ( must be factory dent as behind handle line), they offered money off but I declined (new house, all new kit). They delivered another new one 8 o clock the next morning, unwrapped it for inspection, wrapped the old one and took it away. Fabulous customer service. -
I was recommended hatha yoga (restorative).
-
The class I go to is great, we’re all over 21(?) and all have aches and pains and her mantra is “don’t do anything that hurts, were all different with different abilities, it’s not a contest” (thank god!).
-
I have just finished decorating our new build and found screwfix bare Plaster emulsion and magnolia good paint, my decorator friend advised Dulux trade white for ceilings for better cover and non yellowing ( he was right ).
-
Well I go to Yoga most weeks (on the recommendation of another member here) and although I have not discovered the”light” it is good for my “soul” as well as stretching and joint manipulation for my aching body, which does good, I relax properly and rest my mind which is good after years of a hectic life with “timescales” to live by. It also puts life into perspective, very little in life or really important.

Where and how best to install temperature sensor in UFH screed
joe90 replied to readiescards's topic in Boffin's Corner
I have a full roll left over and about 20 metres of bits. The only thing I was going to use it for was cloche ends for the garden ( bendable pipe that stays where you put it!). How much do you want? -
I would look for a local builder with a good reputation ( recommendations only), he will give you a good idea of what you can achieve for your money, what needs planning/what does not etc etc.
