Despite being a GRP convert the rubber sheet does look quick but....”.Only other complications are a series of small rooflights.” .....how will you deal with these with rubber sheet?. A flat roof I can understand but roof lights may cause you problems. I have never dealt with “rubber paint “.

WHY? With a decent template you only need to lift it once, oh I get it......you want to play with your hoist!!, ?
-
I would make one out of hardboard and baton, (size and thickness) easily liftable without risking damaging your tray (or your Nads).and accurate, not like ol @ToughButterCup ?????(sorry mate).
-
@ClaireF any chance of a photo?
-
Work out how much higher you need middle step. Baton either end and PIR in the middle, floorboard (off cut of chipboard flooring) rounded front edge, screw down to concrete. Make nosing (round edge ) a good inch out from front of concrete. Do this then Report Back and we will talk you through the bottom step.

Just looked and the “water testing plus £129” tests for arsenic but as you say the premium £249 appears not to. The “plus conforms to ISO 17025 which from my tinternet search is the water standard required by the authorities “ (you can tell it’s raining hard here and I can’t get on with my landscaping ?♂️)

My late father in law lived on our plot fir many years and drank the ground water (not aquifer) and it contained iron and arsenic and he lived to a ripe old age ?

@scottishjohn Can you not do it privately? https://www.ivario-hometest.co.uk/Well-Water-Test-Kits:::23.html

@zoothorn as @Gav_P says above your over thinking it. If the height difference is 20” then three steps is 6.6” each is a much more comfortable and acceptable way to go. Build the steps and we will talk you through the skirting, I am off to bed, night night ?
-
As I said before, complete the steps then make a template of both sides. Additional width of timber made by “planting on” (glue on additional piece) I will spell it out when you have the template.
-
yep, go to the top of the class.
-
Nah, Chech made air rifle.
-
Just make the steps first then make a cardboard template of what you require fir skirting and post a pic here and I will talk you through it. ?
-
nah, we didn’t do that one at school!!!
-
Right mate, photo of how I finish end skirtings, 45’ cut through top moulding and plant on end piece. Also need to plant on (glue) additional wood to make depth required. Hope this makes sense?

My buffer is indirect, as said above ASHP connects to coil (like DHW tank) and antifreeze not required in UFH. My buffer gives me a hot water source immediately rather than wait for ASHP to get up to temp.

Looks really good mate (now you can build that crane ?)
-
Feck off, watching tv (actually I can do isometric projection or oblique projection, which would you require ?).
-
I do keep a small box of knackered chisels for “gouging” (or lending if someone asks ?)
-
-
Sloping skirting ends at the wall of the lower room, new bottom step rounded corners with bull nose all round.
-
I do use it to monitor the state of the ASHP , even @Jeremy Harris had difficulty working his (same as mine).
-
It depends on your ASHP as they are all a bit different. My ASHP is set to heat any water to 47’ only. Basically I heated a buffer tank fir UFH and the tank stat on that cylinder kept the temp up. This is heated 24/7 during the heating season. When the room stat calls fir heat it operates the UFH pump to circulate water from the buffer around the floor. A diversion valve is operated by the ASHP to divert hot water to the DHW tank when it’s stat calls for heat. This does mean the buffer (well insulated ) stores hot water fir UFH all the time but it saves waiting for the ASHP to get up to temp before it starts heating. Some here don’t have a buffer tank fir UFH. (Not sure I would if I did it again). I did buy an expensive controller which means that things such as the heat curve can be changed but frankly it was so complicated I never use it. I may go E7 in the future which simply means installing a timer so the ASHP only comes on during cheap hours (and an override switch fir emergencies).
