Sometimes nightmares are real.

Can you not steady the walls up as you go. If it gets windy when you are building block then an easy way to steady the wall is use trestles and a plank or two to rest on top of the wall with something heavy on the plank to keep the wall from swaying. -

I would say it's going to end up you take the hit on materials and the builder on the added time that it will take to get it back to where it was. -

The amount of walls that have just missed me when they have fallen over is scary. It's one of them things that happens on building sites. My sunroom peak feel over when I was infront of it and I ended up upside down in the boundary trees. Had to dive of the scaffold to avoid the peak hitting me. My mum and dad thought I was dead as all they could see when they rushed out was a mess and a set of feet sticking out of the trees. Dust yourself down get the mess cleared up and keep going. Get the builder in and see what went wrong and how do you insure it doesn't happen again. -
builder Builder's references - what to ask?

Was the build brought in on time and budget??? Would you use him again??? If problems arose how did you and the builder deal with them??? Have you had to get him back to do any snags and if so was he quick to resolve these??? Loads more but a good start. -
Pick and choose your battles wisely. Let her win a few in the weeks before you get to the time to choose the one you want then cast up sure you picked the last 3-4 things so it's only fair I get something as well.

Hence the overkill!! Be cheaper and easier just to build a 9 inch wall. -

https://www.legioblock.com/en/ Bit overkill for a garage. On the plus side of you paint them different bright colours it will be like a Lego build. -
They try again how can we stop them

I would go full John Rambo and make a camouflage hide and lie in wait. When the moment arrives he would get the shat scared out of him when I pounce out in fatigues with the war paint on and a hatchet in my hand and give him the due care and attention he needs. -
Much easier to tip a dumper than a digger so take care.

Done a road crossing using a 13t digger to push a 75mm steel pipe through the soil. Doubt the power hose will work in most of the stiff clay found here. -
Yeah forgot you where using them. They will hide a few sins.

Yeah but will save you time you don't seem to have. How good are you at cutting straight!!!

When your ordering the tiles you will need to make sure you order half tiles. Depending on what side the interlock is on the tile, normally the left, you will have to order right hand half tiles. I'm not exactly built for speed and never went through the felt or broke a batten loading out near 2500 tiles. The dry ridge is easy to take with you as Dave says. It will take you longer to load out. Once you start the tiling you fly through it. I done mine on my own in 4 days but I had 6 roof sections with 4 lead valleys and 5 roof Windows to cut in.

You have used beads to give nice straight edges on all the joins so why is there none used on the reveals. Takes no time to bond the bead on nice and plumb, same goes for across the opening. No matter what way you fix it it will be noticeable. The bit that's burst out Def needs fixed, the rest hard call to make as it might look worse unless it's painted over to hide the different mixes

I have no wall sockets in mine. Have the pop jobs in the worktop. Went this road as I will be getting the glass splashback so much cheaper if there are no holes to cut out

It's already been beat quite a bit to get it to that shape. It hits the frame every 4-5 Revolution so it's not spinning any where near true so it looks like a dead duck. The 2nd one in screwfix looks like it ticks a lot of boxes.

It's the actual shaft that comes out of the engine that the blade attaches to. Tried a few gentle taps with a hammer but no movement in it. It still runs fine but it's sitting at maybe 15 degrees so it hits the frame when it spins round. Out at the moment so will take a pic later

So my wee lad in all his wisdom decided to cut to close to tree stump and has bent the drive shaft. Took it all apart and it looks like the connection is pressed in so I can't get it off. It's close on 15 years old so owes me nothing so am on the hunt for a new petrol version. Needs to be at least 450mm cut and self propelled as it's a big garden. Any one have any recommendations.

It's much quicker and easier on the legs if you take a day or 2 and fully load the roof out. The tiling bit is very quick once you get into a groove. How are you getting the tiles onto the roof??? As mine is a bungalow I used 4 trestles to create a long ramp about a 30 degree pitch and walked the tiles up on to the Kwikstage and then onto the roof. Took me, the wife , my da and 2 kids 3 full days and a lot of swear words too loud it out but we got there in the end. Had legs like an Olympic champion by the time the roof was done.
