Where is your drain fella ?. In that back wall you need a glazed panel, so you can see downstairs from the shower. Seriously. Could you use one of your walk on glazing panels.
-
+1 to the above. Do not take anything down untill you have written agreement from the planning tossers.
-
Roof is on now. Flat with a fall to the rear. Covered in rubber waiting to be glued down. Yes, i'm going to put in new drainage for the w.c.

Straight Six. 4.2l Daimler made 1600 of them, and about 500+ went sent to South Africa. Mine is a very early one. 72nd one built. I think it may be the oldest surviving one. I have yet to find one earlier. shed, despite the weather is coming on. Garage next for the car.
-
The ground can deffo hold bloody water, that's for sure. Nope on the car. The double garage will be coming next. At the moment under a cover out the front? The shed is about 25sq mt

Sorry, I'm totally pants with computers. First pic is my shed base. 12 concrete and block piers, dpm, and 6x2 base frame with 100mm pir insulation between joists. Second pic is 4x2 walls. These have been covered on the outside with 11mm sterling board. The roof is 8x2, Its got 25mm pir over rafters, and 100mm pir inbetween. I was going to use fluffly stuff in the walls, but went with 100mm pir in the end. Next is my mug that my daughter recently got me. finally is my old car which i posted by accident. Sorry. At the moment the roof has got firestone rubber laid over, and weighted down. I'll stick it when the bloody rain allows. Pleased so far

No it is not the same Zoot the Hoot. Don't worry, You don't need any. You are internally glazed, and your old unit did not have any.
-
I saw your tractor. I can't show my Mrs. She want's one like that.
-
You look like you have an externally beaded conservatory.. I hav'nt seen that for a fair few years. How old is it.
-
Yeah, my tip is get the Mrs her own small shed for gardening stuff. Don't want it in the man cave.

"Law abiding way" He is applying for an extention under the neighbourhood consultation scheme. What is illegal about that ? Think yourself lucky that you dont live next door to me. I'm in the greenbelt an got an increase from 500sq ft to 3000sq ft. Six times the original size.. When you come to sell your place, people will be able to say " Look we can turn this little house into a nice large house like nextdoor" His large house has prob added value to yours.
-
I don't know about £20 but phone a few locals that you find online. The most successful glazing comp near my last house, charged twice what any other company did ! Go figure.

I always use full bore isolators as Joe has stated above. In my opinion those things with a little screw in the middle, regardless of what make, always end up leaking.
-
That looks bloody nice fella

Fair enough Steamy Tea. The point i was trying to make was that in my opinion you need a lot of light in a workshop. I used to make very expensive furniture in mine, and i never wanted to be working in shadow. When i was charging up to £10 grand for a bathroom vanity unit, to go into a £15million pound house, it's manufacture, and finish had to be spot on. I had 6 circuits to control the light so i never felt that i was working with not enough light. Joe 90's workshop above would be way to dim in my opinion.
-
I would say lots of it, on a few circits. You can't have enough light in a workshop. My last one had 2500watts.
-
I've done about 100 windows, so not a prob for me, but Zoot the Hoot may well be better to wave a fiver at the fella.
-
Zoot the hoot. Glad you found my info useful, and did'nt just leave your glass in with no beads, waiting for that gust of wind. Now you have measured the size and the thickness, stick the old glass in, and put a short bead in both sides. When your glass is delivered, give the geezer a fiver, and he will have it in, and beaded before you would be able to make him a cup of tea. It will be worth your fiver all day long fella.......Those beads can be a right pain.
-
Zoot the hoot. Careful fella. That black gaffer tape will not be holding your glass in. It will have been used around the edge of the Two glass panes, and the spacer in the middle. The glass will now only be held in because the glass will have formed a bond to the outside rubbers on the frame. Stick one of the short beads in one of the sides, and go outside and give it a bit of a thump as if you were banging a table, on the opposite side to where you put the short bead. This will break the seal. You will be surprised at how well it will be stuck. The bead that you put back in will prevent the glass falling out, just don't go mad. Once the suction has been broken, you can go inside and remove the short bead that you put in the side. You can now remove the glass, and measure it properly, including the thickness. While you are waiting for your new glass to arrive, put the glass back in, and put the Two short beads that you have in the each side. This will hold your glass in place, and the short beads put in the sides will be easier to remove when you get your new glass. That, and they will give you good practice of getting the beads correctly in, which is a very different process to getting then out.
