I had a similar issue at a previous house, when the pre ious owner installed the roof they didn’t have any real drip edge. I managed to install some epdm drip edging which made sure all run off went into the gutter... it did feel a bit of a bodge job to be fair, but it worked. I used something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251194139964

Yeah I had to add the timer as an option. They also have a humidity sensor module add on, didn’t get that tho. Ive ordered one of those covers too now. Ta very much ?

Thanks @Nickfromwales This is exactly what happens in one of our ensuites. I’ve just ordered an Icon 15 based on your recommendation. I’ve got one of those annoying rattley flappy things on the outside too. What do you recommend to replace this with?

It’s not mine ?

Haven’t done a self build yet... I have only done renovations, 4 so far, the last one I doubled the size of the house (from small to not quite so small).... I have just about recovered mentally from all the shit you go through doing a house, so I am now looking for somewhere to do a demo and build. I am most certainly not going to be doing anything as difficult or mental as an underground lair tho! The only reason I even found this forum was because I had a problem with my ASHP.... luckily there was lots of helpful advise and prodave fixed the part I’d buggered up.

Nope, but this sounds more interesting. Development Consent Orders... for NSIPs But more importantly what happened to the sparkly fandango show tray? Is it FUBAR?

A few DCOs.

Quite possibly, but I have a finished bathroom and en-suite to clean myself up in ?
-
Maybe if you concentrated on one thing at a time, things wouldn’t go so wrong. ?
-
Uh oh ?

Is that any worse than not finishing at all?
-
-
That does imply that things are actually progressing and you aren’t stuck in some infinite loop.
-
Piss poor planning I call it. ?
-
I’m glad you said that! I was worried that you had chosen a soap scum yellow colour.
-
Genuine question, not actually trying to take the mick this time.... Why don’t you just finish one before getting stuck into the other? In my experience it take longer over all if you have too many jobs at the same time... plus you feel like you never finish anything (can be quite demoralising).

Let’s see what it looks like when you’ve got all that grout off first! How did you apply it, with a mop? ?

2 fan system. Do we really need one??
Gav_P replied to connick159's topic in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
Fwiw - plenty of us on here have hunted around for cheap kit (e.g I bought my ASHP from a company that was going under) and we installed our own. The difference in price covered all my windows and bifold doors. -
Is that a black shower tray?? I have a feeling you will be able to rent the space out for ‘specialist’ movies to be filmed in there! bow chicka wow wow! ?

Access/Mesh points/WiFi booster
Gav_P replied to Coops85's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
Just use a mesh system, something like Amazon eero or netgears obri are popular, easy to set up, don’t impact your bandwidth, and can create a WiFi network covering the whole house and garden. .... no-one uses cables anymore do they? ? -
What big jimbo said. although it might be worth having a look at the generic SIPs that are forsale on places like eBay. You could make a decent insulated box quickly and cheaply.

How does your garden grow?
Gav_P replied to recoveringbuilder's topic in Landscaping, Decking & Patios
My bramley started shedding its fruit about 2.5 months ago. Nothing left on the tree at all now, but had a bumper crop this year. -
Slightly different price range though

That’s the same spec as the one I have... I was thoroughly disappointed by it. Can’t cope if anything is damp, or if anything has been damp and is now stuck to something else.
-
You do have a tape measure don’t you? ? But seriously... Can’t you make a template out of paper or card? You could then fanny about till your hearts content without risking damaging the tray or yourself.
