  1. Yeah we spray it It goes on like water and soaks in quickly and doesn’t run It hardens the surface of the board You can normally coat a four bed house in a couple of hours
  2. A little expensive Though probably includes the vat I think when your BM says discontinued Its code for can’t be Arsed ordering half a dozen tubs ?
  3. I’m not sure who told you it was discontinued I buy it by the pallet load Even B&Q sell it Gypsum drywall sealer
  4. You need to seal them prior to painting A thin coat sprayed on Gypsum will supply sealer directly to you if your local BM doesn’t want to Normally about three tubs for a 3 bed house £120
  5. 25 % more for labour Slightly less for materials if using sand and cement
  6. That seems pretty poor Our quite was pushed onto somewhere over 200 miles away Fingers crossed for yours
  7. We have integrated blinds in our South facing bifolds Worth every penny
  8. Hopefully you get sorted You really need a rep to come down Keep us posted
  9. Hi Jack I was happy with there work But our roof was quite straightforward and the two garages where bog standard Unlike our next build with Attic trusses for the workshop and two vaulted ceilings and quite a bit of cutting for me to do on the trusses So they will have to be right Are Pasquils going to remedy these faults Or at least compensate you for the extra work
  10. You would be surprised how many of the conversions I go on that don’t have a useable loo I worked on one site that have rats in the toilet block H&S said it was nothing to do with him Site manager said “Did you kill it “?
  11. Great if you can get hot water Builders will be surprised your not sending them to the local pub for a poo ?
  12. It isn’t Worth having a basic kit Eye wash plasters etc Accident book and signing in and out book
  13. Yes I used them for floors and Trusses on our previous build 10 miles from us I received quotes on Thursday for our next
  14. There’s a big difference between hardening and drying out Your builder is being over cautious
  15. It will be granite or Sand and cement He should have run a fresh piece The bit you are showing can be filled and sanded
  16. I think what we noticed when we finally got our plot (plots) purchase over the line There were far more single plots going through than last time Perhaps the lockdown made people reevaluate there lives It just seems strange that while the housing market shows little sign of slowing Planning apps have fallen away
  17. As above But your builder is correct
  18. We have been looking at local planning applications over the past six months around 40-50 each week Over the past 6 weeks we’ve noticed Applications drop to around a dozen each week We wondered if this was a local trend or have others noticed this Or is it simply the backlog catching up or Something more sinister like high labour and sky high material prices
  19. I think we will be claiming the vat back at The end again The problem with trades zero rating is They will probably put 20% on top of Tge materials for supplying
  20. On our previous build we paid vat on virtually everything and claimed it back at the end Has anyone managed to get materials zero rated I tried Pasquils yesterday and got a flat NO For trusses and joists
  21. Plus 1 Poking out Normal
  22. For sand and cement you will have to leave it 8 weeks Liquid 2 weeks
  23. As above Deflection of 25 mil is ridiculous We got over this with a welded hit and miss plate on all three large openings and intend to do the same again on our next build
  24. Screed through the doorway Then cut it back with a trowel Push the strip against Only takes a minute per strip We normally put our tile expansion over it
