  1. we used this to re treat our cladding. Would recommend it as it really does waterproof the timber. Water beads on the surface https://www.toolstation.com/shop/p68513?table=no
  2. 100% you can get test button for hard wired range. We have one in our cottage
  3. Ours are tilt and turn. Glad we went with them. They can be left tilted and left open at night with no risk of anyone getting in and you can also fit a bug screen outside if you don't want midges coming in
  4. EDF have done exactly the same to us when we changed in July. However as the deal we were on is cheaper than the new deal, we are not that bothered.
  5. I am trying to plan the stub stack for our downstairs toilet. The 110mm pipe is set in the slab and goes direct to a manhole outside. The cloakroom has a toilet and sink only. The stub Stack will be in the corner of the room. Does it have to be 110mm with a 110mm AAV or can i use say 50mm for the stack only with a 50mm AAV, allowing the stack to be hidden
  6. I had a similar issue. it turned out to be caused by the dpc that MBC fitted as it was catching the water coming off the scaffold and instead of directing the water away from the frame it was going under the sole plate I folded all the DPC down into the cavity and ensured there were no folds that could direct it towards the frame. It solved the problem Did you fold the dpc down the cavity or across to the blockwork?
  7. I was talking to MBC when they were with me a few weeks ago, and they told me that they have employed a new member of staff to quality assure the work of the contractors. I had a company that had done two or three for MBC and most issues i had were related to their work. That said all my issues were simple to fix.
  8. Check the rational quote as they don't normally include sills it added 1000+ to our Rational quote and another 7500 for fitting. However i now wish we had used them
  9. @JSHarris re using hikvision software for your cameras. There are dozens of standalone android apps that work with any cameras. Some are nearly identical to the Hikvision software as Hikvision make a lot of other cameras like Swann. Have a look in play store.. Another place to look is https://forum.use-ip.co.uk
  10. The guys finished on site last night. we have an insulated air tight house Someone over ordered though. Anyone want some pallets. @ProDave they are free. maybe another shed. Left the site clean and tidy. MBC not fully finished as they will be back to do some external works after the scaffold is down.
  11. Agricultural exemption. I am going to try as i need machinery to work the land.
  12. @Barney12 If you are next for the team then its 14-16 pallets according to the lads here. Some stats to get you thinking. 40 bales on each pallet Each bale is 12kg so 480 kg.per pallet 20 of mine went in the roof. So the house is now 9.6 tonnes heavier with nearly 5 tonnes in the roof
  13. Following on from the air test the insulation guys turned up. Now I know they said there was a lot but an artic load After Three days still had all this left for the roof. The machine that blows it in is in their van with one person loading, and another with a long hose filling. Holes are cut with saw and filled, plugged and taped.
  14. Sorry been to Norfolk for weekend and we do not get a mobile signal and there is no broadband figure is . 0.39AC/HR
  15. OK so my certificate arrived from the air test people and it's now 0.39 as they had the wrong volume in the program
  16. We did exactly this and got it all in writing including all the questions we asked. Still didn't help as it was all ignored.
  17. @Barney12 I would say it was mine that delayed yours but they were here Sunday to finish mine and only one person here today to help with the air test
  18. So things are moving again this week. MBC are back on site after every window was replaced. The windows are still not finished as they broke one whilst fitting and scratched the front doors with a window frame so they need replacing. However the house is now fully sealed and this evening at 7.30pm the house achieved an air test of 0.57. I am pleased as the roof and a couple of wall abutments are quite complex. The main areas where i have leaks are the three sliding doors. Not the worst they have seen for sliders but would account for quite a lot of the air. Still it achieved MBC 0.6 Friday they start the pumped insulation which should take a couple of days and the window company is back on Monday to repair and replace everything damaged.
  19. The ivms software talks to the dvr, I also have a reolink camera connected to the dvr. When using my laptop and connecting directly to the reolink camera using their software there is a 10-15 sec lag. However and i don't know why, the Hikvision software does not have this delay whilst viewing the reolink camera. This suggests the Hikvision dvr and software deals with the video traffic better
  20. Thanks @Declan52 I will also be getting a one as it looks like an easy way to run the software. You and @JSHarris may have just saved me the cost of a hdmi matrix @JSHarris did you buy yours from the link below This looks like a 64bit version where as the ebay versions are 32bit
  21. iVMS-4500 HD there are several versions the one i will need is the HD version
  22. @JSHarris if you are getting a rock I assume it will be ordered from abroad. Let me know I might get one as well and they may be cheaper in numbers
  23. Its more the control that i need as i have 16 + cameras and when garden or stable alarms go off i need to switch between cameras often in the early hours. I was looking at a HDBaseT 4x1 or 4x4 matrix as they have a ir loop through. Running the Hikvision client on a small stand alone unit will give me better control and be a lot cheaper than a HDBaseT unit.
