  1. This was put forward as a strong possibility, by the installers (who just told me immediately after install that if anything wrong, call them 1st before Vaillant). But this time I'd think calling Vaillant is correct, as they replaced the pump last week. As it costs alot to call (& wait) Vaillant, I emailed installers/ who called back asap & told me how to rejig pressure again: mentioned it was likely linked to the new pump install too, just like you suggest Roundtuit. So surely, its -Vaillant- to come back out (if needed to/ if it recurrs), not installers. And so, they'd be coming out to fix a fault of their system, not of any incorrect work the installers did.
  2. @ProDave if there are no water leaks, there is no leak in the pipework. A leak is easy to spot. I don't find any water leaks. So, if the system is losing pressure, & there are no leaks, & I have to keep jigging the taps to increace pressure, then -something- is wrong with it. The only other thing that can be leaking is air. I was told by installers that after a new pump is installed, then it might well be the cause of this pressure drop after 2 weeks. If this is the case, & Vaillant installed the new pump, bc of a faulty one, then you cannot expect the installers to come back to rectify anything ascociated with this new install. It just doesn't figure. I also notice an excess of water coming out of the outlet pipe outside, from the cylinder, only after this new pump is installed. Now if this isn't correct/ if this is a minor fault too/ then again: I can link this water spill to the pump install, & Vaillant changed the pump due to their poor hardware, therfore I just wouldn't expect the installers to have to come out & fix this too if they didn't install it.
  3. Ok understood- so we agree there's a fault, but your point is its the installers rather than the system/ ok I get this, but its a situation they continually have to either guide users thru on the phone, or, ideally they have to come back & fix time after time which they shouldn't be doing. I was told 'air' was likely the reason this time & again told to let in water for 20 secs & watch guage dial etc. A leak, or trapped I don't know. But if its recurring then I maintain its just the way the system 'is' & not the fault of the innitial installers. If I had the vaillant engineer out to change the pump only a week ago, & if this is linked to that (told yes prolly) I maintain this should be for Vaillant to rectify, not the innitial installers. Anyway I guess I'll just have to do this each month. Can we at least agree that this isn't ideal & not something a user should be expected to be repeatedly doing?
  4. All new rads. 1 tiny leak in 1 rad only I noticed just after install.. but installers came back fixed/ nipped up. No signs anywhere of any other leak: no pipes were laid under floors, all accessable (none boxed in yet) no sign of a leak anywhere or Id have seen a damp patch or something. ProDave its quite obviously a fault with it. The 1st thing Vaillant Renewables call handlers have to sort out -the only thing they're technically trained to rectify over the phone- is low water pressure faults. This points to the system, not me, or the installers either, at issue.
  5. @PeterW Peter- would you know about this low water pressure situation with these systems? I get told on phone by installer to open taps on the cylinder 20 secs or so, then see guage go from ~ 1bar up to ~ 1.75 bar.. & 'fixed'. But surely if being asked to do 3x in 3 months this is symptomatic of an issue, so not fixed, or is it something a user should just expect to do ? (like say car users expected to open car engine top, pour in oil). I've never run a CH system before, rarely actually ever had them in houses Ive lived, so I don't know what's expected of the user. thx zH
  6. Hi Temp. Grateful for finding this- I actually missed this reply apologies/ just going over the replies again now. That's obviously a level of tech above the customer, but see the bits you're pointing to. Additives? I'm not sure/ or anything similar possibly been added, I'll certainly ask engineer, if he comes again, which seems reasonably likely. Interestingly, again the rather basic noise info on this is solely re. the outside unit. Nothing even suggesting any inside unit makes, or, carries the noise in from the outside unit. No mention even of the pipes between which carry the noise in. -- Well today, I wake up to no rads on at all. So another problem. Controller says warning: Low Water Pressure, & a spanner symbol. Urgh. This is the 3rd time this has happened. 2nd time coinciding (seemingly) with the damn pump in the box in the cupboard incessantly whirring on/off/on loudly overnight. I called my installer, & for the 2nd time told to manually open two taps on my cylinder reaching down & around whilst phone in other hand. Far from ideal. So, yet another call today presumably asked to do the same again. This seems to be a recurring thing, stops the system functioning, & that I should manually rectify it after a £4 call. Would Mrs. Miggins @ no.73 be expected to do this, outside in her cold garage, bending down to ground level fiddling with taps mid-winter, arthritic fingers et al Vailant-?
  7. @ProDave and @Onoff sorry I didn't realise there was an apple store in aber! Im sure an 'essential shop' so bound be open.. wobbly table.. that's pretty obscure/ over my head as intended Im sure. [sorry ProDave.. I meant to put @Declan52 not you, & I cant undo it!] Giggle on at me.. no prob admitting I'm a total idiot at new ipads (& wm's) & building stuff compared to y'all. thx zH
  8. Hi daiking, ok kapiche the 1st para (I didn't see any blurb to read but will find it).. up to 'clearing cookies'. If I'm happy using like this in a private window, and I presume I'm using ipad properly enough if I'm doing all I need to, is there any need for me to create apple ID? I mean I dont need or want to buy an apps and like my laptop, doesn't it just do it automatically? or you just click 'yes'?
  9. By the way, the youtube doc i was watching (and so enthused to get running right, as its 1 of a 6 part series, and possibly the best doc ive ever seen) is this wonderful, comprehensive, totally absorbing one on Easter Island. (Makes the history channel look a joke).. "6. Easter Island - Where Giants Walked" I cant do copy paste on it yet! cheers zh
  10. Yes. But just slightly differently during my bloodythings reply, to how its playing right now. No big deal tho. No dreaded buffering. So just a q of getting used to doing it this way. Much appreciated daiking.
  11. @daiking i think its better and thanks alot ; tho i just had my doc playing behind audibly during my reply above, but now i dip out of it back to this window (just as i did before and it just continued to play) and This time it stops simultaneously, i dip back to it and there's no dreaded buffering, its just frozen, not even the pause btn on. But it does then just start by itself.. so that's fine. A bit odd. So what has this way to use it proved exactly i wonder?
  12. right then.. back on board. Bloodythings. Ok done your privates mode, and my doc playing in its own private whatnot. i have even managed to get this Bh page open again on other original page.. so i can hear my doc playing.. er somewhere and seems so far, to be without stopping? Of the 3 things you ask.. no, none. thx zoot
  13. I see the symbol, click and this page goes smaller with black around it. If i click + i just seem to add a new tab next to this page.. nothing suugests anything private has opened.
  14. No i dont have an apple account. Nothing on it yet to worry losing. An email client.. defo not, ive no clue what this is.
  15. @daiking ..then if i click on this, it says 'sign in with your apple id' . Ive no idea what this means / what it is, how to do, or implications of it are, etc.. especially regarding the issue.
  16. @daiking it says 'pls sign into your ipad'.
  17. Yes youtube in safari browser. No, I don't quite understand What you mean by private .. page. thx zh
  18. I feel ordered to reply with that Scary face looking at me.. no ive no idea about any account, and i dont know exactly whose name its running in pls dont fire the cork thingy at me..
  19. promise it wont be. Mind you i did just laugh at myself saying how hopeless i am. No look i am more adept at this lark than a mindmeld wm. ive actually done a hd install, os system renew.. on laptop. Ipads are alot newer and have stores and id and apps.. my laptop doesnt, im just not used to all this new xyz.
  20. Donload an app from an App Store is like asking me russian. I thought idea was to download chrome? All i recall on my laptop is google chrome, go to page, install. I cant seem to do even that bc it asks me for an apple id. A what already?! I can do the history clear, i think.
  21. Ok trying to open chrome page.. taking ages.. Im sure too safari should work fine. I use such a light few sites, opposite to a nerd with a flight simulator. ..still trying to load the page. But i can fling a reply up here in meantime just fine.
  22. ok yes i was told to do this before, so know what you mean. Ok swiped podcast one away and settings and one other.. so just got this page open, with 3 tabs. So i only had 4 app things open.. not a silly number clogging it up.
  23. Ah i get the gist of this, just thought safari was tied to this ipad bc it was an apple browser. Maybe its not and it would have been installed by my folks before then? Is safari what comes with ipad as default browser? Im fairly sure it is.. so if so it should work fine. Right is there one you would suggest?
