Most of the SunBoys have Bluetooth connections to. See if the Growatt does, ar you may be able to get an attachment. That energy meter I sent the link for could log the production. I think the sender unit in that one can take up to 3 inputs, so one could be on the generation meter and the other on the import meter, if they are close to each other. You would need a RPi to do the logging though or it will just sum the inputs.

Electricity takes the path of least resistance, so flows to where it is needed. Think of it as a pond what has many streams coming off it, each steam has a different flow rate (the resistance) but if there is a jug at each end (the load), once the jugs are full (all at the same level), then there is nowhere for the power to go.

I agree. We already have a transfer of income from high earners to low earners though the income tax and benefits systems. What we need it a simpler system that is transparent, not another layer of complexity.

Flats could have A2A heat pumps, or community heating. Terraced places may have enough room outside for a monoblock, but could have a split system. Both flats and terraced have relatively low energy usage by definition (less exterior wall area), so a smaller problem to solve.

The same argument that the automotive industry has been using for decades, but they seem to manage to produce cars to a higher standard for, in real terms, less money. The biggest problem the house construction industry has is the people they employ on site.

Semi inside would be the best description. It leaks water to. Should be fine as soon as I foam it all up.

Door and frame is uPVC. I assume that the frame has a metal frame in it, but not 100% sure, the door does. It is the lack of any foaming between the walls and the frame that is the thermal problem.
