Easy then. Air2Air HP and an exhaust HP for the water. Could fit most of it under the chassis.

No need to saddle sniff, Newly is close.

Just got asked by a cute girl on a bike to take a picture of her. With a film camera. (expletive deleted)ing hipsters.
-
A good Cornish girl will do that as well, for a mear fairing. But the I knew a Somerset woman that was available for a packet of Hob Nobs. So may be it is universal currency. Going to sit on the prom with a packet of cream crackers and see how I get on.

As in a real one with wheels. Not a Scotch one that can be twice the size of my house. When I was a student, I rented a caravan and that had a vented system in it. Boiled over once, just got moved to another empty van. There where hundreds of them.

We invented technology. Wireless, telephony, radar tracking, high pressure steam, pasty, missile guidence, safety lamps, oxygen, surfing, rebranding pilchards to sardines, Fleetwood Mac, Kristin Scott Thomas and seagulls. And cute blonde Celts and want to meet people that they are not related to. What has Bristol invented, apart from slavery, obesity and diabetes.
-
As always, I would go for a vented system. But just for hand and dishes, it is hardly worth it. Boil a kettle.
-
That is better looking. Last two day I have been using 8 kWh/day, which is a bit higher than I like, but was washing days.
-
If you look at your charts, it seems to be a series of regular spikes. More normal to have a small load, a few watts, then an up lift to say 3kW. Irregular spikes are usually things like a kettle or vacuum cleaner. An ASHP would pull about a kW to 2 kW for a decent amount of time i.e not short cycling.
-
Good start. Just got to find out what the other spikes are now. I would expect the UFH and DHW to run for an hour or so at a time.
-
My cheap RH hob is cooking away nicely at the moment, works nicely with no fuss.
-
Just seems high consumption and spiky generally means inefficient. But like a new driver, gas, brake, gas, brake and so forth. An empty house is the best time to gauge the performance.
-
Control freak. One advantage of checking with the ASHP off at the moment is we are having unique weather. Sunny, dry wind, and just over 12 hours of daylight. Almost ideal lime to see what the house does without extra inputs.
-
As an experiment, turn it off (ASHP) for a full 24 hours. 48 is even better. Then see you next Tuesday.
-
Probably, all very spiky isn't it. I know it is not all commissioned yet, but is the ASHP cycling a lot? And what is that large 'afternoon delight' spike' cameral lights?

Can a slab be too thick to have UFH pipes in it?
SteamyTea replied to Thorfun's topic in Underfloor Heating
Ideally in it, but near the top. You can extend a 1Wire cable to about 10m. If you can find a way to fit them in a channel on the top (push in a bit of half round moulding when the floor is cast), that could be an easy way to set it up afterwards. Just make a large X 15% of the wall length from each corner. -
They should all be low power, except ASHP. And most will only be on for a few minutes.

Thermal transfer will take many paths, at different rates, it is all about minimising the overall energy usage. So without looking at the thermal model, it is impossible to say if one type of insulation is better than another. One problem that wool insulation has is that air can travel through it. If this is not controlled properly, problems can happen. Like most things, if done right there is not a problem. Out of interest, what colour is this cold store. They are usually white, or silvered.

1wire sensors are so cheap, put in loads, just space them midway between pipes and extra ones near walls. -
This time of year I would be expecting to see peak power some times. This is not the same as peak production. One is kW and the other is kWh. Summer can often produce less as higher temperatures and more variable cloud patterns can hamper production. So while the overall levels are usually highest in June, you can get some exceptional days in the spring and autumn. Can you calculate how much energy is lost from the PW overnight, and where it goes. I forgot you charged your biggest toy up.
-
Where is all your power going. At this time if year, and with the clear skies and cold wind, you will be getting pretty close to peak production. Does not bode well for when you move in and you have all your electric toys plugged in.
