Anyhoo the leaking won’t be noticeable until the day it all collapses ? Expand Not even in jest please! If I get a leak through these corner pockets I'll be filling up the stud walls behind It's why I'm so worried about these trims. Still not clear which way to go now. Applying CT1 from the rear (somehow) seems half sensible as it should ooze through any gaps at the front. Edited October 7, 2018 by Onoff
newhome Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 You must be able to squirt some CT1 and force in with a sponge surely? Or failing that fill a medicine syringe with some and squirt that in from the back.
CC45 Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 What about a small drain hole into the cavity just in case it does leak? Just trying to help. 1
newhome Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Why on earth will it leak any more than anyone else's shower? People tile showers and wet rooms all the time and never have any issues. I think you're being half empty here @Onoff

Will probably knock up a bit of brake line in a U shape to slip over a standard mastic nozzle.

Onoff Posted October 8, 2018 Author Posted October 8, 2018 (edited) A lapse in concentration brought on by the thought of @pocster pm'ing offensive JPEGs meant I dropped the L shaped tile bottom right of the reveal: What you can't see is that this is post breakage! Thanks to a clean break & the power of mitre bond the repair is nigh on invisible. Excess glue taken off with a new Stanley blade. Fingers pointing at the two breaks: Yes, I could cut a new tile but considering the other various faux pas will I get away with it? Edited October 8, 2018 by Onoff 1
CC45 Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 cut new tile - not time to start short cuts now. You know it makes sense.
newhome Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Cut a new one! I can see the cracks from the tiny photo on my phone and you will see them every day and wish you had done it again!
bassanclan Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Definitely cut a new tile. Keep the broken one and use it up for cuts elsewhere

Onoff Posted October 10, 2018 Author Posted October 10, 2018 What "pen" to mark tiles before wet cutting? Using a Sharpie (genuine) the water stream on the tile cutter is just washing it off?
