Whilst I log my energy use including what is used by the heat pump and am happy with it, I would not say I agree with "The country is ready to go heat pump crazy" I firmly believe a heat pump installed in the right situation and set up properly works well. Agreed. As our house is pretty old, I'm also a member of a couple of historic/restoration Facebook groups. The amount of posts I've seen asking why their heat pump performance is so poor is staggering. I guess they haven't heard of AIM before APE... billt Posted January 24, 2023 Share Posted January 24, 2023 I'm that bad. I'v eordered the OEM heat pump monitoring kit for the new heat pump. I want to know that it really is working as it is supposed to. If you read some of the negative comments on youtube heat pump videos you won't think that the country will be rushing to install heat pumps; apart from anything else they are stupidly expensive as a retrofit when done properly.
