I'm about to start some work on my kitchen and will be knocking down part of a wall. I'm looking for a good pair of safety boots - with steel caps - kind of [link removed] Does anyone have any recommendations? Or know of any offers?

Cheers,

Quite a few here use co at ruction trainers.

Mine are by a brand called Tough Grit (someone is clearly a fan of the Two Ronnies crossword sketch), which is an own brand from a DIY shed I think. but others give theirs a harder life.

Not a fan of DeWalt tools per se but quite impressed with their safety boots I have to say. Light and comfortable from the off and so far hardwearing. Wide fitting too. I specifically search for wide fitting.

My walk boots- no. I'm just saying I came across a 'next step up' Italian boot make GRI Sport (having hd usual types found in UK & always failed in 2 yrs) which also do steel toe work types.. Id bet hands down they'd be just better made/ last longer, & for not much extra cost as this ^ seller has seconds. an ebay boots-bargain walking or work/ just thought it might be a handy link.
