then carries on whilst you're "sitting", flushing and for 15 mins from the moment you start the fan.

Doesn't extraction stop while flushing is actually happening? Water going down the pipe (from cistern to pan) instead of air going up it. The exact opposite of:

Am I correct extraction only occurs on flushing therefore isn’t permanent?

Yes, extraction stops briefly whilst the flush pipe's full of water, but runs OK the rest of the time. Seems to work well, though.  There;s a very definite difference between our downstairs loo, that doesn't have odour extraction, and the two upstairs that both do.

Hmmm, I'm actually having trouble trying to find it cheaper. Of course there are SO many variants of Geberit stuff I might not be comparing like with like.

Did like the look of Aquaclean - but then I saw the price!

Similar but more expensive!

RIGHT!

I'm leaving the flush plate for now. That can be decided to 'match' tiles/colour schemes i.e. it's beyond my capability to get this right!

Flush plate more expensive than toilet...... JESUS!

Anyway!

Geberit icon toilet (i.e. it's just a bloody square)

UP320 duo fix frame

Still comes in at the number of the beasts best friend 555

Misses reply to Geberit icon

"It's a toilet
It looks fine"

I guess she's more interested in the kitchen.

The mistake you are making is buying as a package ..!

have a look for Vitra porcelain.

And rimless are not all they are cracked up to be.

I assumed a package would be cheaper !

Vitra rather than geberit ???

no idea If rimless is worth the money or not @Onoff ‘s fault !

I fitted Vitra basins and toilets throughout, found them to be surprisingly good quality for the price.  Well worth a look, IMHO

And there I was thinking geberit were the only boys in town . @Nickfromwales will be along soon ....

Why not?

The Bernstein I have is excellent. No splashing and the water seems to "scour" the pan to clean it better when it flushes.

Vitra porcelain on a Geberit frame - will be fine.

Geberit frames are the best - sigma flush plates can be had for list less 65% if you search.
