Nothing to worry about. Sometimes you might get some water weep and this happens which can self seal, or the plumber left some flux on the pipe (picture two) When to be concerned is when you have a thicker line of it running down a pipe as that means there has been a leak.

It’s copper oxidation (the reason the statue of Liberty is green) happens when the copper is exposed to oxygen and water. It depends how bad it is. Show us a picture.

Freezing weather finally breaks

You also need to average it out across the year not base your costs on the coldest week of the year.

When you say you aren’t ready for the air tightness test what do you mean? Didn’t you do one before the final fit out?
-
Ours was Freedom and had a Magnaclean fitted in such a way you couldn’t remove it.

Interesting. I don’t get any sense there’s any kind of urgency with anything. We looking at Scandia-Hus too. My wife’s uncle built a Huf Haus and it went like clockwork from start to finish.

Heb Homes. Their houses are very nice but we have found them surprisingly hard work to deal with. Poor comms, everything is delayed, constant chasing, too many silly errors.
-
I did some more googling and came across this thread on here. Same error state you’re experiencing and same potential cause I’ve seen before with my neighbour’s system. Just keep in mind that if you decide to open this up it’s a live board so you need to switch it off. If you’re not confident then don’t touch it and try and get someone out.
-
Here’s the self test operation I mentioned. You can switch each component on and off manually to test that each component is working. If it is the relay that’s stuck closed then it’s likely that when you switch the water pump on then off you might find that it’s still runs.
-
That shows you what the flow rate is when it’s running. It could be a relay in the Samsung controller box causing it. A neighbour had exactly the same issue which required a new PCB. In his case I powered the controller box off then on and the main circulating pump immediately started running which it shouldn’t do if there’s no call for heat. The relay in the controller box was stuck closed. I’m pretty sure there’s a diagnostic test you can do that manually turns the pumps on and off. If you turn it off and the pump still runs then it’s likely a fault in the controller box. Call Freedom Pumps as they are generally very helpful.
-
An E912 error means it’s detecting flow when it thinks it shouldn’t. It’s likely that a relay or maybe a valve is stuck open. I think you can test this from within the control panel?
-
As above. I had this problem last year although it was the other way round. We had multiple two way valves and one of the actuator heads had failed which is a common fault. Easy to replace.

Just a moan! After weeks of chasing finally got my construction pack for the house from the timber kit company. It’s full of errors, particularly around the window details. I’m sure the actual window schedule is correct it’s the details on the drawings that are wrong. We’ve been going back and forth for weeks on the final window specification. The lack of attention to detail is bloody annoying.

Scot Gov to change to passivehous for new build homes
Kelvin replied to Tennentslager's topic in General Construction Issues
Yep a bit frustrating. As it is our as built house will far exceed what they designed as standard. -

They won’t go for passivhaus certification it’ll be setting building regs standards to passiv like levels. The challenge will be to get the current generation of builders to buy into it. I overheard a couple of builders refer to an air tightness course they were going on as that air tightness bollocks. -

It talks about that in the consultation document. As we all know passivhaus is as much about attention to detail as it is about standards and design. But it also needs a lot of scrutiny at each stage of the build. As you suggest there needs to be a sea change in attitude to make this happen. However, it’s exactly what needs to happen if we want to build better houses as standard. -

I was aware this was coming and had a ‘debate’ with our timber kit supplier about it. My argument was I didn’t want to build a house that ended up well below the regs shortly after completion. They struggled to understand this and stuck to the line you are building to better than the current regs so won’t affect us 🙄 -
Got our final kit price. They said the window supplier is putting their prices up by 20% on Feb 1st.

This is very true. I used to drum this into my team at work. Occasionally the decision comes back to haunt you later of course 😂

I watched a Danwood go up just near Blairgowrie and it was impressively quick from the foundation to up and rendered. Nice little bungalow.
-
You’re never going to notice it. If you think you do then a bit of soft landscaping will address it. I suggest you’re probably overthinking it.
