  1. Sure, but if the condensate is going outside you have to increase the diameter of the condensate pipe to prevent freezing.
  2. Condensing gas boiler- condensate requires to go into drain. also if it was a proper plant room a drain connection or floor drain is a plus, makes things easy, draining down cylinders, leaks etc
  3. I would try and have a small plant room so that changes to any type of heating system are minimised to the whole house. a few spare ducts from the plant room to outside for future will save a lot of grief. oh and a drain connection too!
  4. You can get 3 times more PV on your roof/ ground mount installation than single phase.
  5. OB112-45AMP kWh Electric Meter. Digital Backlit Display. MID Certified. it’s available direct from Owen Brothers or eBay/ amazon
  6. so the meter works well, first time charging at home, as I’m on holiday this week the meter is fed from the MCB for the EV , line and neutral in and output of meter directly to EV Charger.
  7. Only time I see this done is at the slops bin in commercial kitchens adjacent to the dishwasher.
  8. Where’s the boiler blow off?
  9. What’s the distance from the boiler flue to the corner of the wall? isn’t it meant to be a certain distance from an internal corner?
  10. Is it a down lighter that can be removed and a phone popped up to take a video?
  11. That’s cause no one gets geared up for the mess, slackens off a clip/nut and is surprised to see dirty/ sewerage water! we have plastic tubs, disinfectant, wet Hoover when ours packs in, swapped over and cleaned up back to the yard in less than 1 hour no we don’t like it but are geared up accordingly to minimise grief
  12. Well the size of room/ fabric build up/ heatloss requirements/ heat source may have an affect
  13. And it took 4 weeks for the structural engineer to come up with a shallow underpinning drawing ? after the extensive package the architect and engineer put together.
  14. So what size will work for the room?
  15. Isn’t the builder on site anyway? just get the architect and engineer to turn up, have discussion on site always the best way
  16. You should have agreed daywork rates, extras, hired equipment /material mark up for this eventuality before the first day on site. Then you just need to keep an eye on time and materials
  17. Isn’t making a profit the reason for being in business? the structural engineer and architect should be coming to see him not the other way around.
  18. I’m going to stick up for the builder, as he will be criticised for being late delivering the project due to delays that are not his fault. he will submit extra costs for the the delay due to having to hire in equipment for longer, site set up costs etc you will be angry at this. the engineers will submit an invoice for extra work for the invoice and get paid no hassle. the architect will submit an invoice for extra work due to the underpinning and get paid no problem. easy to see why the builder gets upset?
  19. What about a 135 Deg bend multi fit to plain end?
  20. Says you who was going to cut the pipe at daft angle to make it fit?
  21. So charging point mounted onto backboard, along with single socket.
  22. They don’t put a lot of heat out, approx 200 W per metre what about an electrical heater?
  23. I’ve seen a few contractors adding a wire rope to the lifting eyes and putting this under a square of reinforcing mesh, then concretes effectively the tank is secured that way with a mass of concrete
