Phew! So can I connect basin B into basin A waste? Badin A waste is in picture If so How and where?
-
Ps. There's barely any fall on the 33mm waste seen in the image but I can't gain any more
-
Have I been over thinking this?? I was focusing on connecting the basin on the others idea of the wall into the shower waste....can I instead connect into the basin waste as per the image? If I can, where would I connect to?
-
Anyhoo, I've put some images up to illustrate the job. I think I would have to notch too much from joist to get 32mm pipe through into cloakroom.
-
Thanks! One less job to do. Am I asking for trouble adding the blue line? I've never cut into a pipe before and added a joint.
-
Oh Marc thank you for being here! No sink is installed yet, they're both bathrooms are new installs, just pipe runs so far

Hi Ivm having to virtually replump the waste that a £¥([<!^¿ plumber did....'fall' went uphill!! Having corrected that I now need to connect a tiny basin into the shower waste. I have no choice but to route it this way but it was suggested I will need to vent it ??? Where would I put the vent? Picture please on what I need to buy..... I am clueless on this next step! See image of pipe run, the blue is what I'm adding. Also any tips on fitting a weld Y 'T' into an existing pipe run? Yours in desperation, Dee

Should i use an air valve on the pipe from the smaller basin? If so where should it go. I've got one chance to get this right!
-
Is this what you mean? I think the plumber only used 32mm waste forbadin and shower, is that OK? I chucked a few jugs of water down both and the flow out seemed OK.
-
What would the ideal route be?
-
Next question....I need to run a waste pipe from a vloakroom basin that will sit behind the shower in another room. The diagram (red ink) is how I hope i can connect into the shower waste. Is this the best route? What connections woukd I use? Thanks all so much!

Great! Thankyou so much Xxx

So if I moved the pipes away from the wall and the plastic is flexed, this won't put the joints under stress?
-
Unable to find a plumber I'll have to take matters into my own hands. Pipes for radiator are tight up against the wall so I need to move them away by 60 or 70mm. The pipes are live, plastic with copper tails. How much play is there in this type of pipework? Do I just pull them away from the wall and clip them back to the joist? Would the pipes be stressed by doing this? Don't want to rupture pipes!

While I wait on a dodgy company to resolve a dodgy shower door I've decided to try and balance my CH system. I have searched this forum but most discussions seem to be for UFH, heat pumps ect not so much for conventional setups. I know how to balance but my question is....if I totally shut down rads on both the TRV and LS does this then unbalance the system and i have to do it again the following autumn? I have a large house so most rooms are shut up for the winter and I shut all those rads off ...is this correct?

My idea worked out so well! 3 perfect cuts and two perfectly placed holes. Small achievement for pros but a massive one for me....chuffed to bits!

Had a flash of inspiration! Artist Nephew has a wide roll of paper so i stapled it up on one side straight against the best wall. Scribed along ceiling, other wall and tray. Cut holes in separate piece of paper and stuck these on precisely. Now to cut!

The backnpanel hasc2 holes for the shower pipes. They're copper tails with push fit pladtic pipes and on the end of the tails chunky white end caps. When cutting these holes in the panel they will have to be quite big to slide over the end caps.....Will they be too big for the valve to hide or should the holes be just bigger than the copper? I can't take the end caps off as the pipes are live 🙄

Fascinating....thanks for sharing the moral of the story
-
For just doing their job! I get what you're saying but whatever happened to professionalism?
-
Hi, I can't Scribe as the 1m wide panels have to be cut first to fit the back wall, I understand what your saying though. I built the left wall and squared it to the back wall but the right wall is existing brick and is out of square to the back....but not enough to be able to build a new wall. I will have to cut and hope !! Thanks so much for your input
