Hi, im installing a wood burner which is upstairs in the lounge. We have a tall ceiling without a void. I’m intending to take the flue up through the roof. The roof is on a pitch so wondering if anyone has seen any ideas for an internal trim to make the flue tidy in the inside against the angled ceiling.

Hi well we’ve chosen the lg r32 therma v 12kw, this was recommended by supplier also budget. I’ve had a quick look at it so hopefully will be suitable

So if you were choosing a pump would you recommend daikin or Samsung, which one first.

Hokay, here we go raaggghhhhh! So ASHP all planned out, necessary forms all sent off, underfloor heating components in and now it’s time to order the pump! Was delayed with ordering as contractor found it far too difficult to put his name on a piece of paper to send off to Powergrid etc. After 3 forms sent to him with labels, x marks the spot, big bold lettering stating print name here date here sign here etc etc, he finally understood what he needed to do. So I’ve ordered the pump 4 months later and guess what Mitsubishi have said from today! They are taking no more orders for pumps due to backlog and demand! HELP ME MOTHER OF GOD! ?? supplier is is now recommending LG, anyone with any experience/feedback etc. I’ve been on their website and they all look and work completely different.

Hi all ? gosh it’s been ages! Does anyone get time to chill and research stuff, I’ve worked non stop. So so question is, we are putting a wood burner in the upstairs sitting room, the flue will go straight up through the roof. No void, no loft as high ceiling. I’ve spent a little time having a look around, most links are old or broken. The flue will go through the roof sips panel, so looking for a product that will provide a tight fit without causing a fire risk also pass build regs. Someone out out there must have done this ?

Bloody tiles cost a fortune! Looking for tiles they have to be Porcelanosa! That’s the bosses words ? anyone with any links/spares/connections etc. Know of any places that do discounts. OR Have a spare bag of cash that I can have! ? I’ve gone online there are some deals but still blown away by the prices

Thanks for the response ms guys, I’m not fitting it. I requested that we use 25mm then turned up on site and a shed load of that stuff was there. It’s going on to the sips panels for an extra reduction in up’s. Just wanted to know if it was up to the job really. Suppose every little helps

I just don’t want any upkeep, haven’t really looked at composite doors!our windows are aluminium as our neighbors installed wood which wasn’t thought out right. They ended up having movement in excess of 20cm’s ? so I’m thinking aluminium being much stronger with no upkeep apart from cobwebs! Hopefully

Yes our window supplier wanted 4K I nearly wet myself! So decided to go for the windows and not the door as they only did top of the range ones. I’ll have a look at your supplier. Was it in aluminium

Looking for a front door, aluminium. Had a couple of quotes coming in around £4K ? anyone know of any where cheaper? Was hoping for around £1.5k
