When it was commissioned, did they (the installer/commissioner) not show you how things work. It says on my paper work that at time of commissioning I will be taken through the setup and given a lesson in its use. I flipping hope so cos it looks sooooooo complex looking at your picture.

Anyone clever enough to explain! Just going through layout of out of the floors, before I go back to designer and sounding stupid, I thought I could ask a stupid question on here without feeling embarrassed. Why are there multiple loops in some of the rooms? There are thermostats on each area so for instance, if I want the longe to be 20 degrees and the landing 18 degrees how the hell does that work, if half the loop is in another room? Full of stupid questions me

DIY-Kitchens - The Alternative View (And its FAR from positive)
Taff replied to Barney12's topic in Kitchen Units & Worktops
We had a lovely kind tchen from them 12 years ago couldn’t fault them and the kitchen units doors are in excellent condition. So we have just visited them again and planning on another order. Will check them over a bit more! Like @MikeGrahamT21 you may have just been unlucky and they resolve it soon. -
Update from ecology, interest rates are under review, and expect to hear something towards the end of the month. Didn’t say which way they go ?

Thanks Peter it wasn’t those ones but helpful to understand. Oh god poor you to have to rip it up, but you got there in the end. It’s just money and you only live once. Is yours a passive house?

I was browsing a few weeks ago and came across a blog I think it was a blog! which should different stages of the foundations going in. It was a slab, it showed the insulation etc etc. The pics showed a clear understanding of the project. I cannot bloody find it now! Anyone know which one I may have looked at, the boss would like to see.

(Un)Reliability of Contractors
Taff replied to LA3222's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
I have been pulling my hair out for the last 2 months trying to get contractor on site to at least put a spade in the ground. I whinged on another post and everyone said to chill for a bit they’ll come. Popped up today and they have grafted proper and if they keep this up for the next 2 weeks they will be back on schedule. Just need to pray they don’t start coughing!! I’ve opted for them to do everything apart from a few bits of specialist jobs as it was going to be a struggle to manage to organise different trades. Hopefully this 3rd contractor you have lined up will arrive soon, once they are there things will develop. Keep positive and hope they are there soon, it’s the most exciting time but most stressful and we all just want it done. -
