So,
My tenants have blocked the toilet. Naturally although I look can I find a plunger ; of course not.
So off I trot to the BM expecting the 'conventional' plunger.
This is what I get!!!!
Well!
Got it working but not sure how/why.
After messing around I finally removed the main devolo plug from the extension lead.
As it can't be plugged directly into the socket (the socket is installed up side down) I plugged it into ANOTHER extension lead on it's own.
WORKS! (I think ).
My response was based off my experience. If the build exactly matches the drawings then yes it’s all perfect .
If the contractor messes up even off accurate plans then their fault .
You are wrong.
The fact it's based on my experience - shows it is real advice. Not what I think but what I expereienced.
Take the timber frame. I measured it to get a quote. The company then measured it "properly". When it was delivered was wrong!. But they measured it wrong not me. Imagine if that had been the other there way around - liability would of been with me. I'm probably going to have 40k worth of glass. If a company ( after my initial measurements ) can't be bothered to send a sales rep to measure ( so they accept liability ) ; then I'm not going to risk 40k.
You could argue measuring for windows is a much simpler thing i.e. the size of the hole. Quite probably if you measured yourself all would be good.
Measuring and getting it right can be open to interpretation- I shoukd know ?
Once example was our structural steels ; easy to measure but I got a firm out to measure ( and charge extra for it ) . In the end their measurements were different to mine because they took things into account only a steel fabrication firm would know . With Windows I take no chance . If they can’t be assed to come out and measure forget them
Yeah . All plugs have latest firmware
As I said , it worked perfect for a month .
Not sure what to do if these fail and the AP units failed , what other options are left .
Yeah . I know that’s a ‘bad’ . But worked perfect before . Also the plug socket for reasons unknown upside down so I can’t plug the devolo direct into the socket .
i think Monday I’ll plug the devolo direct into a wall socket ( no extension lead ) then run a long rj45 to it .
Hey
So I got rid of my AP units and installed devolo plugs so WiFi is great and a wired connection is available.
Today no joy ( been working flawlessly for a month now ) .
Main devolo plug wired direct to router always goes to a red ‘home’ light . Suggesting I think low bandwidth. Electrical interference ????
Not sure what the issue suddenly is !!
