  1. Poe cameras I link mine to cloud based Mangocam ; works well for off site monitoring .
  2. Yeah I’m not sure what I should have to be honest . i was allowing 150mm insulation 50/60mm screed and ufh Then 20mm ( ish ) for tile and adhesive I also assumed a liquid self levelling screed . Screeder looking tomorrow see what he says ?
  3. Lol ! I’ll get murdered in my sleep before then ?
  4. So here’s the bathroom At far end shuttered section for inner timber frame for hidden cistern Directly in front where Porto loo is - the bath section . To the right shower tray area Plan is ufh and screed only go in the other area . So cistern , bath , shower dealt with at a later date ( like years from now ? ) Bit like brexit tbh ?
  5. Not priced the screed yet but can guess . Now if only I could sell some glazing to pay for it ...
  6. I believe that’s what the ufh company has said . Erm , that not the best ???
  7. Perfect ! 100mm it is !
  8. As if I know which one ! I *assumed* the depth required was pretty similar.
  9. A breaker for 40 quid !!! It would break ! Got my Hilti for that !
  10. Equation of faith goes like this : want bathroom + dont know exactly what suite + dont know what shower x not really sure how this is going to go / wife-factor Lots of variables not many constants ...
  11. Better dig it up ?
  12. Right ! It’s complicated ! Doing the ufh prep in the bathroom . How thick does the wall need to be to take a geberit hidden flush cistern ? Because we don’t know the exact size of our shower tray nor the bath type ( as in where the waste is or where the taps are ) i’m going to shutter out those areas so they have no ufh nor screed ; same for inner geberit wall . This a sensible plan given the situation? cheers
  13. I’m ok then ? . Vcl ordered for non GF
  14. Or girl friend ! ?
  15. Ground floor ? Mine is “technically “ 1st floor
  16. Pir isn’t eps though is it ?
  17. You certainly have ! cheapest inc vat was around £54 You are in the money ?
  18. 150mm pir ordered ; cheapest I could find certainly not local builders merchants . Also found vcl ( looks the same as Permagard ) slightly cheaper . Double tape ( for vcl overlaps ) , tape for edges , foil tape all found cheaper on eBay
  19. Done to @Onoff ‘s made up spec ! ?
  20. Pir upstands done . Foam where I had to ; foil tape on joints . Osb on timber frame just so vcl has something easier to stick to .
  21. Ufh company said expansion perimeter not required ; pir upstands good enough for that . Nearly done one room of upstands - not neat - but every piece of pir is an off cut left over - so free ? Mind you the 15 sheets of 150mm pir will be expensive ?
  22. If I put expansion tape at the perimeter like this https://underfloorparts.co.uk/product/underfloor-heating-perimeter-50m-foam-edging-strip-5rolls/ Does it go under vcl or ontop it ? ( i’m Guessing ontop ! )
  23. I *presume* I silver tape the joints on the floor between each pir piece ????
  24. I see ! Right ! Vcl over the lot and up past the upstands . All taped got it !
  25. Why can’t I just cover the whole thing in vcl and tape it further up the timber . Why do the dpc strip around the perimeter? Is the vcl thin and likely to tear ??? That why ???
