But they would need the router admin password - which of course isn’t the default . Also one of the port forwarding entries was for WhatsApp . Why add that when you access the WiFi anyway ? Another was labelled as ‘xbox’ - no one in house has an Xbox . Thing is I was in and out the port forwarding pages everyday whilst fiddling with cameras. Only went in today because they aren’t working . Does anyone know if it’s possible to login to a router remotely? E.g <global ip>192.168.1.254 / admin/ <password> So I can at least look at the hubs settings remotely...

Did you change the admin password or just WiFi access ?

Also the culprit port forwarding rules are in a different colour - not sure of the relevance of that .

Ok ! Had all these issues with the 2 UniFi AP u it’s so removed them . Today my up cameras don’t work as though the dns isn’t working . I go to the property login to the port forwarding page . Everything seems fine ; but 3 extra port forwarding rules have been added !!!! No one knows the router password though - and it’s none of the tenants. So how was it done ? Whilst fiddling with the AP units for days I factory reset them many times . It’s not possible from their default password to access the router somehow is it ? For now I’ve left the router as is - take my Mac there Monday when hopefully I have more understanding of how this was done. Any help appreciated cheers

Ceiling speakers in all main rooms wired back to a single source ( multiple pi’s ) . Quintec lighting for sure - all linked to a z wave based hub . Electronic ‘catch’ on door so can be unlocked from another room . Cctv external and some internal ( hallway face recognition) . Some old iPads wall mounted for control ( not everyone likes shouting at Alexa ) . Led strip lighting at bases of stairs ( z wave controlled of course ) . Cold water tap where that big American fridge freezer is going for inifinite ice ! ) . Qooker Tap as mentioned .

Must admit I did get around 20 quotes also for the ‘dig a big hole and not cause surrounding houses to collapse ‘ . As it was a non standard request and as the quotes varied wildly I needed more to find the average price . The lowest quote was 7k ( which is impossible) . The highest just short of 100k !!!! Most seemed to get in around 25k ish . In the end went with gut instinct and choose some guys for 18k

Did all the requirements for the roofer . Upstands another 50mm higher . Causes problems at the house as effectively I’ll have to raise the floor I.e thicker PIR below UFH . But have plenty of ceiling height to spare . Roofer has no spare men at the moment and snow is forecast - so need to wait patiently...

Yep ! Im sat here and I can see one of the guys has put his push bike on the front garden path and gone in the house . Not a problem ; but he’s asking for it to be nicked !!

Oh we’ve been there ! luckily with geniushub and say a heater in a room the graph does a nice linear line - so you know there’s an issue . Also suspicious when room is set at 20 degrees ; rads off but rooms at 24 degrees . i know all their tricks !

Just an update Since removing both UniFi ap units have had zero issues . Cctv working no probs. WiFi on site fine - admittedly weaker in the loft room . Devolo plugs for wired access in bedrooms no issues . Geniushub heating no issues apart from tenants expecting a 17 degree room to get to 21 degrees instantly ( these are engineers would you believe ! )

I was meant to clad in larch . But it did colours and needs maintenance. Not idea in my view - want less work not more ! So went for cladding - looks great
