  1. RIGHT! Here is his logic which backed mine up! When it rains the walls down below do get damp - I haven't installed the dimpled membrane and drainage channel around the perimeter yet. So water is effectively in there. Evaporates and hits the ceiling but also the plastic sheet over the walk on sky lights ( plastic sheet is wet on the inside! ). Drips back to floor or tracks along any deviations in the concrete ceiling. As water is never actually removed (until drain, MVHR etc. are in) the cycle just repeats I've got the actual roofer guy coming to look tomorrow so I hope his logic backs this up!
  2. Well ! The guy who is doing the flashing said condensation 90% certain !!!!! He viewed it today
  3. I know . its probably half a cup full if that . Its really upsetting me though because you feel like you’re failing everyday ?
  4. One other thought . The outside of the wall goes onto a lane . I suppose there’s a possibility rain on the lane seeping through a gap in the stone work . Checked the wall with a screwdriver no obvious gaps . Tomorrow might hose that lane side of the wall and annoy neighbors
  5. Problem is where an earth do I put the dye to start with ???
  6. Another failure FFA536CE-3FEF-4124-B615-9254F446AF93.MOV
  7. That’s a good plan ! I’ll stick my pir over the track for today to proof not condensation ( yeah I know ! ) . Then if tracks still there tomorrow with grind a line across the track
  8. Of some note it is ONLY the 2 smaller windows at the front that have these track marks . I’m probably confusing everyone by showing the other larger 2
  9. What’s confusing is underneath the up stand ( wood section ) is bone dry . its only damp half way down the initial ceiling slab
  10. That particular window is covered like so
  11. This is covered better now
  12. I give up ! Here we are this morning after rain - pretty much the same . Is it remotely possible it’s condensation???? ( desperate now ! )
  13. The steel work is always dripping - I *assume* condensation . But is it around those windows??
  14. Right ! Going round in circles here So ! protected the lower part of the build and blocked the door way Now wait for rain
  15. Bollocks
  16. Not sure what you mean
  17. Yeah I thought that . Might just make it or just short
  18. Because the pavers etc. will be higher by 50mm . Gate won’t clear them when open . Least of my problems at the moment ?
  19. Couldn’t wait so went and bought an electric fan heater . Stuck it on a ladder and pointed it at the ceiling . Most of it dried up after a few hours . Meant to rain later so tomorrow i’ll see .... ?
  20. Actually I might bring a hair dryer tomorrow and completely dry out the water tracks . Easier then to see if still leaking
  21. One of those holes at least 10cm deep You can see their position now
  22. Also noticed these hols I drilled for something. Fairly large - so probably used a fixing bolt right through to the concrete block . !!!!!!! will foam fill for now then cement over later
  23. Put polythene etc on top of wall As long as it’s not too windy should hold
  24. Completely opened up this corner . Feels dry inside
  25. Got to site today water tracks in the same place , though lesser . No idea if my ‘covering up’ helped or it was just less rain Anyway - this corner where house joins wall . Would the best way to get that render board right to the wall to angle grind a vertical slit for it ?
