  1. Right ! I’m going with @JFDIY ? So floor tiles and upstands Will line up on longest left wall . Right side floor tiles will end where ever . I’ll have to play with the upstands to see whether lining with wall or floor grout line looks best . Far wall all hidden by the bath . In reality 90% of all this isn’t visible but it feels SO important..... ?
  2. Hmmmm or the upstands could match the wall tile grout lines , but not the floor tiles ... Aaaarrrggghhhh ! ?
  3. Yeah they will . I did think that at first .....
  4. But it’s going to look smart ! ?
  5. Yes it’s a day of procrastination!!!! ??
  6. While I debate what to do ( though assume shifting the whole floor up so no line up with wall grout lines is best ) Bought some of these ‘corner’ spacers to go with the wedge system . Just feel happier knowing the corners are level .
  7. Though I notice that the floor tile grout lines cannot match the wall lines . Out quite a bit on one side of the room . I assume have one side line up and the other not ;would look wrong . If I shift it along a bit then none will line up on either side - this better ??
  8. Your tiles look like a dark grey - if grouts a similar colour you might get away with it .
  9. Bathroom floor ready for de coupling mat tomorrow.

    Ah bum !

I did quickly look at cheap ones - but they all get mixed or terrible reviews . Any you suggest ???

    Ah bum !

It hasn’t Peter Though I did a first watery coat using the same paint . Speaking to the company they suggest next time to use a watered down emulsion first . He said this as it is would not be an issue assuming I don’t stick a piece of sellotape on it and pull it off .

    Ah bum !

Couldn’t sand this no matter how gentle - it just ‘pulls’ it loose . So a very weak pva mix to stick the edges down . Sample pot of exact matching paint ordered .
  13. Looks like it . ?
  14. Have to be honest when I did my walls with them didn’t realise you are meant to break them in the grout direction . I glee fully went round with my rubber mallet smashing them off across the grout line . Only a few snapped wrong
  15. I found it easier and safer with a Stanley knife

@Gav_P shhhhhh - ( whispers ) go and read Zooties threads . You’ll need paracetamol then for sure ... shhhhhh ?
  17. Go (expletive deleted) one then ! . I let you enter my perfect humble hole and you just leave a grubby deposit .
  18. It will never be finished . I mean (expletive deleted) me still no heating in there - assume you meant @Onoff ?????

    Ah bum !

You did ! Gold star for you ! ⭐️
  20. Go on ! It’s like War and Peace - but even more boring . I’d also like to point out in the time it took @Onoff to do his bathroom I built an entire house ; so I’m ninja fast !!
  21. Why’s that ? . I was going to start on the floor anyway but only because I’m still waiting on the wall tiles to arrive .
  22. Saga? - you've obviously been spared @Onoff 's biblical bathroom thread. We are only at 50 pages here. I think @Gav_P ; you need to read it and get caught up with true Saga's. ?

    Ah bum !

Just spoke to paint manufacturer . They reckon if I sand it back super gently and use a fine roller with a watery coat first ( and leave to dry ) - then go over it again I should be ok...... So ordered just a tester pot as that should be enough....

    Ah bum !

It will stick out like a sore thumb if I just paint it - as it will show texture if I’m not careful
  25. To summarise your response ; we are (expletive deleted)ed either way
