Not on site so guessing ... Blocks are about 80mm . At ‘deapest’ end I would say around 180mm - so 100mm to play with . What are you thinking ?? Area is approx 7m x 2.5m

(expletive deleted) off ! My plan wasn’t on the plastic stilts - as they wont fit . So something else to support them . Miserable (expletive deleted) (expletive deleted) wits

Useless (expletive deleted)ers ! . Trying to use what I’ve got ! worst case scenario I could shutter the area compress chippings then cover in sand and bed . Friday kill joy (expletive deleted)ers you lot ! . Some experimentation required !

nonsense ! Of course they can be used in this way ! . I shall investigate further !!
-
No ! They will be used in the method SWMBO has decided . Also storing them with walk on glazing is taking up quite a bit of space ....
-
Thinking .... What about pressurised timber lengths ? How long would they last though ? . Bend / warp due to weather and the weight of the blocks ? Maybe some box steel lengths ???

Bought these some time ago but can’t use them as intended . So ! New plan ! Going to use them in a different location just for walking on . Problem is the concrete they sit on isn’t level ( at the time was designed to have a fall ) . Really would want to use the plastic stilt legs - but they can’t be used on a narrow tile . My current plan was the stilts but with some kind of “ board” ontop . Then the long blocks are just sat on that ( no adhesive , no sand ) . Water can then drain through to my sump . But what board can I use outside ? . Really a nice 600 x 600 size would be good as it means I can position the stilts at each corner and centre ; also can adjust to suit the fall . First thought was simply concrete slabs but they are heavy and not as cheap as I hoped . Diagram to explain the plan !!

I went with vent axia . Not turned it on yet except to check it works ! . Gets good reviews -
Took 5 years to get planning after nearly going bankrupt during the last recession. So bloody minded absolute determination. Unless I attempt every possible route until success I won’t stop ( bit like the terminator but better acting skills ). Reasons to self build not employ builders etc . Cost Also I want to do it Lots of ‘professional’ trades are shit . It’s a mountain to climb - so climb the (expletive deleted)er

Stick a lot of stuff together with that many tubes

Ok ! Noted ! Ct1 not the bad boy here ?
-
Because the answer to the meaning of life and the universe is ct1
-
Reason being it’s cheaper ? ( rather than an issue using ct1 )
-
I just thought it would be quicker with ct 1 . Blob on tile , stick - repeat x 1000000 Wasn’t sure if tile adhesive would take to osb ... So this type of thing https://www.crowntiles.co.uk/cubics-grey-porcelain-wall-tiles.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwu5CDBhB9EiwA0w6sLfBL8rzaqifupt5BRQ-Ngtt87d3vDtROzBLs8DZSC3Zz8cgSI1s0dxoCkoAQAvD_BwE I presume I can place them tight to each so no grouting ! ?

SWMBO wants a tiled wall inside running the full height of the stair well . About 3m wide and 6m high . So this runs from the dungeon up to the ceiling at ground floor . I’ve got to build / board a wall to take the tiles . But what should I use ? . No need for protection from damp/water . SWMBO wants some small tiles ( so probably need a billion of them ) . Rather than tile adhesive could I stick them on with ct1 ? . But stick to what ? Osb ?

Bonus !

I’ll leave it “ as is “ for now ?
-
That requires planning and knowing things in advance ! . That needs organisation and structure . Why change the way my project has been run now ! ?
-
True . I did forget that . They’ll be pre hung made to measure

One of my doorways is tight to perpendicular stud so there’s not much room for architrave. The doorways are all 84cm wide . Should I reduce the width of this one ( I.e screw a length of timber vertically in the frame ) so architrave will fit ? . Should I then adjust all the doorways so they are the same width ?
