  1. Yep . Solvent weld for simple joints when you know it’s right no probs . More complex things use tiger seal ( or equivalent ) - you have lots of time to adjust and change . It’s messy stuff though ; certainly don’t want it on anything apart from your pipe
  2. Use "tiger seal" to glue solvent weld. You don't have 5 pico seconds to get it right then. You have many hours!
  3. You mean no ufh in your bathroom?
  4. I’ll dial 999 on speakerphone before I do it ?
  5. Just got a reply from them 2 x stringers at 95kg each
  6. A brilliant plan ! apart from its recursive nature ....
  7. I installed a 110kg shower tray on my own with a winch . I’ve got big bits - so that helps . Your builder is a pussy so will fail ... ????????
  8. No access for any lift/fork - that's always been the issue. It's difficult to mount it correctly for such a weight. When I build my mini lift ( which I will! ) I'll just load it 20/30kg a time. So nice and relatively light - save me carrying everything down the stairs. All the tile adhesive , blocks, tiles - many ton's worth.
  9. Can’t get a vehicle in there ?
  10. Thanks for the (expletive deleted) all helpful suggestions
  11. Tempted to get the American fridge freezer ordered then the crane can do both . Even called ao.com and explained it might be 12 steps to get it down . They said no problem!!!
  12. My external staircase arrives soon . It’s in sections ( apparently! ) . Heaviest single component is 95kg . It will have a lip and rest on the wall to the left ; then lowered down . Though I have a winch there’s no where to fix it to . I could make a Scaff tower and get an end on there whilst the other rest on the wall . But how do I lower ? What’s the best ( and safest ) way to do this apart from crane hire ?
  13. You’ve gone all Jimmy Saville again
  14. Careful ! You’ll get arrested again
  15. Is that slang for homosexuals?
  16. Exactly - all the best things ! Up the Brizzle !
  17. You have technology in Cornwall that can measure your power consumption????
  18. But zero spikes now .... That ufh area off from 10am so ignore graph before that
  19. Other spikes ? When I run the shower or hot tap ...
  20. @SteamyTea just for you . Spike gone ! What was it ? . I forgot I had a tiny floor area ( 6 sq m ) permanently on low for ufh ( to avoid condensation around my HA stuff ) . Off now ?
  21. Looking remotely I can see it’s not ufh . So would guess ASHP and uvc are cycling . I seem to recall there was a buffer heating option which was on . Could that be the issue ? . Tomorrow I’ll turn off heating and hot water so expect consumption to drop
  22. Does it actually matter though ? . If it draws more to keep temperature in 20 mins or 40 mins throughout the day ( or night ) - what’s the concern ??
  23. I’m controlling the ASHP so probably need to adjust the HA so it only checks the temperature perhaps just a few times an hour ....
  24. Could be me running the shower and finding leaks
