  1. Make sure you are given full installer access then you can adjust ToU etc. This is very important
  2. I meant in your pants

  7. I sprayed wd40 on the hole as I go
  8. Saniflo do a toilet with integrated macerator - has an additional input for a shower / basin . Surprisingly quiet ( for a macerator ) .
  9. What controller arrangement do you have for the thermostats ? You could have actuators per loop controlled by this . Then you can control each individually or if you wish have all on or all off I.e as though just 1 big zone .
  10. I was going to post a photo of my hole ; but thought best not …
  11. Googling tells me … Rodents will chew through expanding foam alone, so for rodent proofing this must be used in conjunction with wire wool, copper mesh etc. pack hole with wire wool then foam ?
  12. Cables / pipes all go through a low level opening to the outside world . Was planning on just foaming this gap . But worried a rodent of some kind will just eat through it . Can access the outside but it’s not possible to put any effective mesh as plenty of pipe work ( ASHP and water ) to puncture . What’s best to do here ?
  13. I put pir between rafters ( I was led to believe it’s less heat loss than the equivalent depth of rock wool ) . Foamed any gaps . Then put 50mm pir over the lot . Foamed gaps and taped all joints .
  14. Yeah could be regulatory stuff I suppose.
  15. What about the ac to dc inefficiently ? - 10% is quite substantial
  16. I’ve no issue with my inverter . But as most people new to pv / battery etc. find ; it can take time to swap . e.g a sudden draw can cause it to go to the grid before using pv or battery . Just wondering if anyone knows why this is so ? - for me it can be around 5 seconds or so . Is this just a limitation of current inverter technology ? . Bit like the ac to dc conversion costs 10%. When will these inefficiencies be fixed by more modern technologies?? 😁
  17. Just stick a nice led rope light over it . πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
  18. Precisely. My assumption is if bought here from a reputable seller then meets U.K. regs . Bought direct …. Who knows !
  19. I’m certain you can get some lights very similar for well under 60 quid in the U.K. . Think I used downlighters.co.U.K. Or something like that . About 11 quid each - great quality too
  20. @Thorfun penny pinching me thinks πŸ€£πŸ‘
  21. I always buy lights in U.K. - had some interesting experiences with lights direct from China . Usually can find relatively inexpensive ( but nice looking ) lights here . Easy to return also .
  22. Buying China stuff always a bit maybe / maybe not work . I always fit dimmers to all lights now ( controlled by HA ) then the issue of burning my retina not a problem. I like buying stuff off AliExpress - always a bit β€œ lucky dip β€œ - but as so cheap - why not .
  23. Oi ! You flooded your (expletive deleted)ing house again yet ?
