Go self employed, no boss, get a reputation for good work and you will never be short of work. If your interpersonal skills are good with customers you are on a winner. HINT, make your quotes comprehensive, no room for ambiguity with a Caveat that if unforeseen problems are found you will discuss how to proceed with the customer.

The guy that commissioned mine said there is some stuff that needs pumping but certainly not annually, his had been running without emptying fir 7 years, he advised poking the bottom with a stick to see what’s down there.

Either failed roller or out of adjustment, I replaced a roller on a family members slider last year but in your case get the manufacturers out to assess.

Looks to me like mouldy/flakey paint on the render junction with the tiles, wire brush it off and re paint.

Yes there is some noise but I lined the tank lid and blower box with acoustic foam which made a big difference.

When mine was commissioned I was told the only thing that usually failed was the pump diaphrams which were easy to replace so I bought a spare one and left it in the box with the pump (it’s still going strong)..

But a lot of pumps like mine were not in the tank but a separate box.

I wanted to do that but having a conservatory outside meant the window had to go at upstairs height (long strings on the curtain pulls).

I used stair box to design mine and found their online design stuff easy to do.

Hamerite direct to rust paint is very good (just take of the worst of the loose rust off.

And/or drill a pilot hole.

Or join on a counter batten.

Don’t bother, neighbours like this are never satisfied, stuff them, it looks good, well done 👍
