So very true We have 400 m2 over two floors with three vaulted ceilings and 2.7 ceilings for the rest So Bang It has to be 11kw All threes software said so One told us we would need two HPs I think they have to go with worst case scenario We would have been fine with a smaller HP We are using between £9-13 per day at the moment for heating and two baths per day -

I think we will still go ahead with the quote regardless But it does still in the throat We could have easily added them to the PP -
If you have the funds Go for it You will only have one chance to do it You can always use it for something else if you are not using it much To be fare I can’t think of a better place to put a Cinema roof Or a home gym

We’ve a quote of 11K Plus vat on the supply and installation of the above We are living in the house but not yet signed off Are we still exempt ? Last time round I could only find a company that would supply the gates and I bought the motors and fitted them myself and simply claimed the vat back The gates where shown on the PP So no problem with the claim back This time they are not shown on the plans Google seems a bit ambiguous

Arches can look quite dated In the 80s it seemed like every newbuild had a handful of them A bit like the trend to brick up a first floor window Been and gone

Anything Sika is good I’ve use there self leveling regularly Your going to need 2 bags per m2 Nearly 300 to mix and lay Seems a shit load of work to save an inch I’d leave the rez bar off if it was that crucial -

Your probably better bringing in a main contractor then To do the whole job and they will bring in subcontractors

Plus 1 He doesn’t need to understand the why’s or what for Just follow a detailed drawing Your SE is better placed to do this Or tell you it’s not needed
-
They just want to know your costs It doesn’t make any difference over who does what You could use a QS or get your local builders merchants to cost the whole build

I haven’t even reckoned it up 😁 While there’s an indoor swimming pool and a massive flat roof that doubles as a balcony 300k I would of estimated 1.3 Hes paying ridiculous amounts for fitting out Weve put curved walls in all over Most to be tiled We have another to start about two miles away Same Architect Half the size 3 mil spend 4.5 high ensuite between to bedrooms WHY
-
Remember It will be you who is cleaning it I’m currently workin on a self build 400m2 over three floors He’s a lockup and a 3kva generator Hes spending 4 million pounds Most will sit in there vans till you are watertight
-
More than enough I’m only putting 50 mil between party walls on student blocks and 25 in the ceilings It just stops the sound bouncing around

I co owned DPC company for a few years Doing around four homes per week The majority of dpc iwe carried out where unnecessary But part of a mortgage condition Poor ventilation is the prime suspect if you do go ahead You will need to remove the bottom 1200 mil of plaster and treat for salt Rentakil is franchised out now So get a couple of quotes All will tell you that you need work doing

I missed the bit where you received abuse If you had stated above from the beginning the answers would have been short NO you have no right to try and reduce your bill
