So true I would always bring in a company for scaffolding Let them have the liability -

Any trades that you use will prefer cash It’s often the only incentive for a one off build Our electrician was being paid £300 for a Saturday or Sunday -40% and extra NA and pension It’s far better doing the work for cash at a lower rate -
Yep I felt bad for days 😁
-
We did the same on our previous build Waited till nightfall Then burned anything that we couldn’t use
-
If your looking for better Insulated raft is for you If your looking for cheaper You will be disappointed Raft is more expensive Or they would be more commonly used
-
Looks like it just needs pressing under the skirting No big deal if it’s being replaced

You don’t want water draining through They will lift with frost Better to fall towards a drain or border -
-
we are about the same as you on the inside We’ve a friend that’s in a wheelchair She can easily navigate over the threshold The ramp on our previous build was made out of four sheets of ply with mineral felt on the top They just need to know that a wheelchair can safely get in and out
-
I’d board the stud wall with 15 mil ply before plaster boarding Then you should be able to hang an elephant off it
-
You can add something temporary in order to get signed off and a Matt on the inside As we did on our previous build We’ve around 40 mil of threshold on our DA door BC was fine and more concerned about the lead up to it being ramped With a flat level pice in front of the door
-
As soon as it’s not your main residence It becomes a development With little in the way of tax breaks and subsidies
-
Isover is the best 50 mil is plenty
-
75 mil or 750 No ones going to come out and measure unless someone complains So crack on
