  1. That's far too difinitive for my liking. It's a simple concept. And obviously a market for it, so someone must do it
  2. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001ALYKIQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_bNXsDbTV8R2G0 The is looks ideal. But I can't find a heat detector to match and i don't know if it's UK approved?
  3. I have but the wires are currently sticking out of the ceiling so it's not ideal. Hence possibly accepting the battery route
  4. But there's rules!!! And my electrician said that's in them. ? One of them definately needs to stick down a certain mount. I just need to find a decent looking pair that are no more than that
  5. I have fairly low ceilings and need both of these things to stick down as little as possible. I heard somewhere that one of them "needs" to stick down a certain amount? But have any of you sought or found a specifically "low profile" set? Interlinking and mains powered preferred but I can work on that. Tia ED
  6. I'm currently painting. So Iv been watching a fair few pretty repetitive how to roll x.. Videos. But I thought this one was short and informative enough to share.
  7. I do remember. And hopefully I am having my meter fitted in the next "21 days" Do they install the meter? Are you sure they want fittings on their side of it?
  8. Probably yes to all but I don't fully under stand the prv part yet. I have been told and why it is where it is but that's still a grey area for me atm. As for the position of the drain and the non check valve. The check stops any water from going backwards. The drain is to empty your house system if you really needed to go that far. In your picture the check valve would stop your house from emptying. I also don't fully understand where your outgoing one is going?
  9. I get on with the makita fine. Yes they jam sometimes but as long as you sort it on the first jam they are fine. Imo
  10. Do you already own any cordless tools? If so possibly look if they make one. If not senco are a very good tool, but I agree I personally would want cordless
  11. This is my incoming which I think is right. (ignore the mess)
  12. Hang on. I think you might have the non return and the drain the wrong way round. At the moment you will only be able to drain the section of pipe between the other two bits if I'm looking at this right.
  13. Will you be putting inserts/stiffeners into the blue bits of pipe? Are all the fittings wras approved?
  14. Yes. Just make sure it actually comes with the pokey bit
  15. Buy the cheap poker. They're great. Personally I would pour in stages. Sharp sand and shingle makes very nice concrete
  16. The prices some people say they pay for kitchens just boggles me. Firstly where the hell do they get the spare cash to splash £50k + on what looks like any other kitchen to me Secondly what asshat it charging people 50k+ for what is essentially any other kitchen.
  17. You all fuss too much. My questions are. Are the water board connecting to that pipe? If so who put it in? Also if so are you sure you only need 22mm pipe?
  18. To look at it another way. Considering the scale of the unexpected collapse they must have done something right for only 3 people to suffer minor injuries
  19. Lol. I have a horrible feeling they were inspecting one of our jobs. Local bc have had to take over a lot of jobs and are not happy about it. Luckily we take lots of photos and they know us well
  20. I think it's called threadcert nsert Nuts Type D M6 x 20mm 50 Pack" and thought of you! https://www.screwfix.com/p/insert-nuts-type-d-m6-x-20mm-50-pack/61859?kpid=61859&ds_kid=92700045993219437&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&ds_rl=1249413&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1MXpBRDjARIsAHtdN-1Q-9brjOTxQIfIBPWjxZdyv-l4QJjujBh67zy7QK3flQtBzeotILIaAhTGEALw_wcB Although mine are m8 and I was given them so I don't know where they were bought
  21. That's why he suggested it. There's nothing worse than hitting a dowel in and on the final hit it going loose from snapping the tennon.... And then you're in serious trouble. IMG_20190718_191821.jpg
  22. Turns out I only needed to use ash for one handrail. But I was advised to fit the landing ones in a rather sneeky way by a joiner friend of mine. Obviously I had to cut the rail along the crease first but once back together it's almost invisible.
