  1. Rocol Gasseal for most of my stuff. Completely non-setting, sticks like shit to a blanket, dense enough to double up as plumbers mate, what more do you want ?
  2. £3k for that supply and fit is a great price. Was that to the existing rads or new ? Details please! What boiler and how many kW? Will need to be a decent unit to give enough hot water for that size property.
  3. 90's are fine. Ive done hundreds like that and never a whiff of trouble. Straight is best where practicable though so plenty of merit to that comment.
  4. The house will be put under excessive duress during the test, nothing like what it'll be ticking over at when your just at a trickle. Block it off for the tests and panic about global warming instead.
  5. For the excess ptfe over the face of the thread, simply run it flat over an engineers file and clean off the waste bits.
  6. They're all right, but the shot of the lesser goop is better, as it really just needs to be a smear. Because with less you get a lot of leaks thats why Brass into brass is quite sloppy, so the fitting will simply displace what ever it doesn't want but will definitely have enough to pack the valleys fully.
  7. When you say £3k fitted, what are they doing for that? Its a big house so I doubt you'll get away with a combi?
  8. Me too. This has been a bit of a journey hasn't it !!!
  9. Down here were a bit more civilised. A can of satin black spray paint on the lens so they don't realise straight away that its been Fockerised. Only on the ones that take the absolute piss of course.
  10. Always has been. 15-16 years ago I drove to the RN port at South Queensferry and they were every bloody half mile at one point. One stripy one you could see even with cataracts, and then a sneaky MF'r painted grey. Guy in a Scooby right up my arse for ages as if he was on tow.....sees the stripy one and guns it around me prob up to over 70 in the 50 zone.....and two strobe flashes off the next grey camera sealed his fate. Id rather be done by a smug copper in a traffic car than stabbed in the back by a poxy speed camera in the middle of nowhere doing sweet FA for "road safety". If we carry on waffling here were going to have pay for fitting @pocster's windows.
  11. I'd have pegged that as a 'burnt orange', and it goes quite well imo. Hark at me lol.
  12. If it was a shitty old cold caravan, NOT BLOODY LONG id say Congrats, looks the dogs bollaux !
  13. "All hail the ale!" 20 turns and a smear of goop, not a blob. No goop on the female thread
  14. Thats a fine looking dwelling if you dont mind me saying Neat work from the guys too!
  15. Thats enough now. Back to the heating thread for such nonsense please
  16. Only cos you were driving like my nan. The whole point of a hire vehicle is to drive it like its stolen
  17. I may need to start a new thread dedicated to how that did NOT happen, as I never put out on a first date. Ever. Second date....fill yer boots
  18. Hats off, a top bit of bending No problem laying a swept bend flat, and a bit quieter too.
  19. Sorry @pocster, your poor window thread has been truly shat on by our nonsense. I would ban myself for a week but my law on self-preservation prevents me from doing any wrong.
  20. Whos? Peters? A fine collection for sure.
  21. Neither were your stilettos......
  22. It was broken.
  23. He's got really small feet for a man
  24. Tidy. That's the end of that then .......
