Good. I want to discuss EWI with them. Save me the bother of calling them -
I have often thought HPs could have 2 or 3 compressors in them. Compressors are not expensive.

Yes. Why I always put my seed in the lady neighbour's garden. Technically the front doors are in a breach of planning. Meant to be the old timber ones. But as they are a similar colour, council has not said anything. The joys of living in heritage area. Architects can convince the council of any dull looking box, then we, as owners, can't change jack shit. Even the satalite dishes and garden sheds are not allowed. Anyone that has lived in a mining area will know that 'heritage' actually means run down industrial wasteland, complete with toxic chemicals and poisoned watercourses. Heritage, my (expletive deleted)ing arse, just an excuse to not improve an area. -
If you look on the Elexon website you can see how cheap excess Scottish wind power is, and how expensive emergency extra generation is. Large scale storage is much cheaper than domestic level, though I do think if most houses had 1 kWh of storage that could deliver at 3 kW of power, that would be very useful. It would be owned by the power companies, rather than the householder. That way people cannot tinker with it.

It is too thin to add any insulation value. Thermal conductivity (k) has the unit W/(m.K) Thermal resistance (R) is the thickness of the material divided by the conductivity. m/(W/(m.K), more usually written as l (lower case L). Then the U Value, the unit we more naturally understand, is 1/R.

Well so far I have drawn a blank with people in the industry knowing anything about it. But then no one has looked. A couple more people to chat to, hopefully one will allow me to put a proper power meter on one. We shall see. -
Going to take me more than 2 minutes to look at it. Wish they would put it all in a spreadsheet.

No, got the light bulb manual. Seem to have missed the CoolEnergy one. was it by PM?

I am really hoping that @LA3222 has just got some spurious readings or this is a serious problem that needs a fix. -

Fluttering your eyelids won't get you extra marks, did not help Angela Rainer. Did you make any assumption on the time to heat i.e. DHW heating for 5 hours, CH on for 14 hours. -
That can be a bit misleading though as they often only state at 3 temperature differences. i.e. 3.38 kW at OAT -7°C W at 35°C. 6kW at OAT 7°C W at 45°C, 9.51kW at OAT 12°C W at 35°C, or whatever. Makes comparison hard. What is really needed is three curves at least with the water output temperature fixed at maximum i.e. 65°C

May be a DC voltage as it is an inverter unit. -
Does that come out the same on the kelvin scale?

Not totally sure, it may act as an inductor, with thermal energy being a by product. @Radian would know more. -

Hopefully we will find out with a bit more investigation. How low could a compressor motor go in the power factor. 0.5 is appealing. -
Wonder if I can impress her with my chopper. I knew catering was the career for me once I had wasted 10 years at university studying energy.

Oooh Go and visit your mum And tell me that you'll come And meet me in the afternoon Oooh He's got your heart You got his soul You might as well know So what? I know you're never gonna be with me But do you understand now that maybe You got it right first time? I realise that you'll never leave him But every now and then in the evening You could get it right first time I know you think I gotta be joking But if you touch him again then I'm going Oh, you got it right first time Get it right first time And now you've done once, now he wants you To wear your pink glove all the time Uh uh uh uh, uh uh uh uh, uh uh uh Oooh So what should you do Should you stop being you Just to be how he wants you? Oooh Go and visit your mum And tell me that you'll come And meet me in the afternoon Oooh He's got your heart You got his soul You might as well know So what? I know you're never gonna be with me Until you understand now that maybe You got it right first time I realise that you'll never leave him But every now and then in the evening You could get it right first time I know you think I gotta be joking But if you touch him again then I'm going Oh, you got it right first time You get it right first time Oh oh Oh oh Oh you'll always be together 'Cause he gets you up in leather And you know what to wear at the end of the day And I'd laugh if I saw that I'm out of the way Yeah it's too long ago, shouldn't care anymore But I wanted to know, is it as good as before? Yeah it's hard to believe that you go for that stuff, all those Baby-doll nighties, synthetic fluff Oh it looks pretty good, yeah it fits you okay, yeah Wear your pink glove, babe You put it on the wrong way! Oh, so I know you're never gonna be with me Until you understand now that maybe You got it right first time I realise that you'll never leave him But every now and then in the evening You could get it right first time I know you think I gotta be joking But if you touch him again then I'm going Oh, you got it right first time, yeah Oh, I know that you'll never leave him Ooh ooh ooh, oh, but d'you see yet? You got it right first time Get it right first time -

Blood then, do @pocster tells me. Not real palms, they are cordylines. Shall see if I can plant some as well. I grow my own canes, so that is taken care of. -

It is a derived unit, from the SI units for kilograms, metres and seconds.
