  1. There are more I can keep posting them until you get the trap doors out of your head not one of these has any other access than through the flush plate. Bingo.

  2. Your fitter needs to get into 2016 No need whatsoever for access. That's only if his plumbing to the unit fails.

  3. I don't think anyone has said this is "okay" as in general guidance. Only that in THIS case they have "got away" with it because they were over sized. P.S thanks for that link relating specifically to attic trusses. I have never seen that before and that will now ovveride the normal 0.25 to o.4 span rules.

  4. Had a response from Sunamp about the 4 cell. It's not going to be available until later in the year, as they have the internal hydraulics to sort out and are currently focused on rolling out larger heat batteries. A side by side arrangement of cells seems to be the most likely which would mean a washing machine sized unit (a stacked 2 cell on 2 cell doesn't seem to be viable unless they introduce a racking system). I asked about treatment in SAP, and they advised they had had discussions about the various options, but currently don't have SAP points for any of their products. I've emailed them back and will be following up by phone again tomorrow, trying to pin down a date (as I have to make a decision sooner rather than later ready for first fix) and price of a 4 cell.

  5. One step at a time, I've not built the house yet!

  6. Dai, I'd have a good tidy up , it's amazing what a couple of hours can achieve. Stack things together and put rubble in piles where you think you won't have to double handle it. It'll look better and you'll feel better about it. Invite some mates around and get a fire going and provide cold beer!

  7. My wife's a wonderful woman, brilliant mother, etc, but I just can't her interested in this. I've tried pointing out that there's a reason we got the 8.5kW array, but it just isn't on her radar. I have about as much chance of getting anyone but me to turn off lights in the house. It's a standing joke (me being the only one who doesn't think it's funny) that when I get home from work in winter, sometimes literally every single light in the house is on! I was talked out of occupancy sensors but am now committed to retrofitting them throughout the house in due course.

  8. I actually quite like the layout as is. I have just ordered from http://bathsupermarket.com/ They gave me 10% trade discount and free Saturday delivery, apparently the delivery drivers will deliver it into a room of your choice. It is almost too good to be true! Double slipper bath, waste, shower bath mixer, quadrant shower, toilet, sink and taps and a towel rails for £567.90 delivered
