Yep, but sure you treat each tooth equally, so exactly the same number of file strokes on each tooth. When I first started every tiime I sharpened the teeth I didn't count the file strokes and ended up with chainsaw that cut nice angle and never straight.

Had an issue developing with one of the roof beams. Had used C16 wood and one has quite a lot of knots. Anyway it started to save quite a bit around 40mm when I took it off. So have replaced all the roof timber with C24 and added 2x 460W panels. So in theory 1.92kW of panels. However have retained the 1kW inverter (checked the voltages etc and all within limits). The 460W panels will clip the 500W panels a little, which is ok as I am only running against the 1kW inverter. Looking for more time running decent number of Watts - so a long day at close to 1kW. Photos to follow. Will be adding drainage clips to the panels to help move the standing water and debris.

For a pylon we get £75 p.a. cant really see it in the field, so a bonus

Brush it with a stiff brush, and saturate it with 50/50 SBR/water, at least twice, then brush it with neat an hour before you start boarding. SBR stays quite tacky, but PVA just skins over, so with PVA you need to roller it on neat and lay when it’s tacky; eg a PITA.

Indeed. Anything regularised will be between 38mm and 44mm, with only “sawn” timber being 50mm (2”).

Have you measured your "50mm" battens? I bet they are closer to 45mm?

Should I be using SBR on this bare cavity wall before I dab on my Wedi boards? The wall is in decent nick as I've repointed a lot of it.

Why are you running all the drains into a single IC in the middle near that bay window thing ? Couldn't you take the ICs that are coming in from each side there and just run them directly into the final IC at the bottom of the drawing. The diagonal hypotenuse of a triangle is shorter that the sum of the two sides, so would give you a bit of extra fall to play with. Just have 3 inputs into that final bottom IC/manhole. OK provided you actually know what those costs and timelines are rather than assuming they are prohibitive without actually finding out. It might be easier than you think. Also do you know what the main public sewer falls are like ? Ours has to run down the hill, and I suspect the outbound pipe from our manhole probably follows quite a big fall. Therefore rebuilding the final manhole and public sewer connection may be possible to gain some more fall without huge works.

On a gable with a raking roof abutment and windows, it is hardly glory work!

Does it have to be wood fibre? Can you get some mineral wool/rockwool boards at the right thickness just for this area?
