They do temp and CO2 instant readings and list CO2 average for last 8 and 24 hrs, plus peak over last 24 hrs. I have one new, still in box, and one used - £70 and £30 each. I used an express can direct in to the normal filling loop. Adey MC1+ Rapide. Just remove the actuators and put back on the decorator caps. You unscrew them anti clockwise to remove.

Your budget is not unrealistic for 80m2 and if you are into it for the long term you can do a lot of the work yourself and pay for it as you work. The up front lump will be your plot cost!

Thanks, how do you put inhibitor etc in, no Glycol. We are but the manifold went in before we chose to go that way, only three loops no independent control of the loops other than by the flow meters which once set are left. That is what I thought.

I think we're mostly on a par with Germany in terms of highest costs. It's no surprise given both rely so much on gas. But there are so many inconsistencies that make little sense from the perspective of an environmental policy. We still subsidise fossils fuels to the tune of £17.5 billion per year. The greatest increase in electricity costs are relating to wholesale costs and social/environmental costs on the average bill since 2021. It seems strange given the profits made by producers and that Gas has not been significantly levied from a social and environmental perspective, but is privy to significant subsidies beyond the subsidies available for renewables. Yes, the government has announced some reductions for electricity in the budget, but we'll have to see how that pans out in reality.

I literally have no idea haha. I imagine that i’d be looking for no less than a 0.025acre plot, but definitely no bigger than 0.03. I keep getting confused when people talk about sqm costs because when people say Xsqm, are they talking about the floor plan dimensions? Or the GIA? And when people refer to figures like £3k/sqm - is that supposed to be land and build incuded? Or just the material and construction costs?

Things may have changed but we included an invoice (for windows, including installation) in our claim and HMRC told us that the company should have zero rated the invoice, so we should go back to them and get them to re-issue the invoice without VAT and refund us the amount. So to avoid later hassle it may better to make sure the contractor is happy to zero rate the amount. We had to supply the windows people with copies of the planning permission so they were covered if their VAT inspector asked any questions. They were only too happy to sort things out - fortunately!

I wouldn't - you need to insulate well - not an easy job. If you are running glycol they are useful (but why would you) if not they are not needed. Thought you were running an open system, if don't bother installing at all. The control valves push pin down to close off loop. The flow meter screw out to increase flow. No, your 3 port valve does that job for you.

At brief glance I reckon they're inline with most other European economies? Exemptions being the Nordics with good hydro and nuclear and Hungary and Turkey with government price controls? On the other hand I think private enterprise short termism is a bad fit for vital public services like transport, energy, water etc . The likes of EDF and Thames Water should be trading only in decades long bonds to force them to take a long view rather than normal shares and dividends.

It's an issue. In the UK 60 years ago there was 4 workers for every pensioner. It's closer to 3 now. In the 1960s pensioners were 6% of the voters, now they're closer to 18%. Policy is following the votes. Underspending on new housing, infrastructure, energy and education in favour of protecting homeowner tax breaks, pension protection and old age healthcare. These policies aren't economical productive so the county is suffering. Retirement should be raised to 75 years old to match the 1960's ratios or this problem will deepen.
