I think this is a devil is in the detail question. EU data is H2 2025 whereas 24.67p is price cap now, so was a few p higher in the comparative period, say 32 euro cents. Still not most expensive. I believe a lot of the shouting is about prices for industry which are not set in the same way as household prices. I have no idea where we stand on that measure and I'd imagine a serious international comparison is highly non trivial and well beyond journalists.

Take a very close look at the MLCP connectors because they choke down the bore of the pipe to a huge degree at every connection. I think I measured the internal bore of a 16mm MLCP connector as just 6mm diameter. Do you mind telling on discount level. We expected 20% from howden , based on previous, but they are sticking at about 17. I get the feeling that the salesman gets a cut of the difference and is pushing his luck.

This is an important response for us because, if true, then it changes everything. So, it might be the case that we won't fit UFH upstairs at all. We are planning fan coils for the 2 first floor bedrooms, perhaps we just use fan coils for the bathrooms too? We have plenty of opportunity to conceal them and just have grille outlets. We'd probably add an in-wall electric heat pad of some sort to act as a towel warmer. I think you might have really helped here @JohnMo. The reduction in agro and the improvement in the reliability of the floor point to this.
