Second fix, but you might want some smart sockets in due course - e.g. for the outside sockets to turn Xmas/Garden lights on/off remotely from inside the house, or in awkward to reach locations. Cabling and transformer niche's anywhere for LED strip lights ? Wire for a video door bell ? And the non leccy stuff - cat6, speakers cables, HDMI, telephone (though POTS is dying), fibre internet connection. Run conduit where feasible Are you going to have a small network rack/cupboard/shelf anywhere ? (Router. switch, NAS, assorted hubs)

Why not get an RTX 5090 card for you desktop pc. True they don't have the shared ram but they should do all you need. I have a 3090 with just 24Gb of ram but it does all I need.

We live in our extremely well insulated 200m2 self build that we did in 2011. Heating is by a 5 KW Vaillant Heat Pump that runs for 7 hrs per night on an economy 7 tariff. When we get extremely cold weather, perhaps 5 days per year, it is typically very sunny and we also run the heat pump on daytime solar PV to consume the excess production. The downstairs temperature is always in the range 20.5-21c and it’s around 19c in the unheated bedrooms. Heat pumps most certainly can work in a modern house without needing a battery.
