ProDave
I stumbled upon this on another forum. It looks like giant polystyrene bricks, a sort of ICF, but without the hollow core and concrete.
Blooda
AEROC Universal 300x200x600 (1.44m3/750kg/pal) block (12021/12011) (buvniecibas-abc.lv) Judging by the markings in the poly coverings.
ProDave
I believe that video was in Spain. Has this been used in the UK? Is it even allowed in the UK. If it was it would seem to be a build method that is truly within the capability of a self builder without needing the concrete pour stages of ICF. PeterW
It’s not polystyrene though, it’s ultralight aerated cement blocks so just like the Celcon thin joint stuff but with even less compressive strength.
Russell griffiths
Isn’t it just thin joint masonry. The blocks look like the yutong things, like a thermalise but denser, made with a fine white clay type stuff.
joe90
Very interesting, yes I thought they looked like celcon. @ProDave what did you think of the wiring “welded” joints 🤷♂️

I am unclear if that is a just a joint, presumably sleeved? or if the twisted and welded joint then goes into for instance a socket. Not enough detail.
MikeSharp01
I think this was made in Ukraine - or at least one of the vans had a Ukrainian number plate! As I watched I though that the last scene would be a picture of it destroyed by Russian artillery.
Temp
Lots of interesting things in that video. Like using a bristle roller to apply skim plaster.

Yes I initially thought they were going for Artex. 😱, brilliant idea for fully self builders.

That’s fairly standard in Australia normally in high value homes to get an even finish across the boards.
ToughButterCup
Well, scaffolders would be sucking their teeth a bit if self-builders all changed to that method. Top idea to make a platform outside a top floor window so you can step off the roof onto that platform and then duck through that window inside the house. Cladding and slips would be easy too. Wonder about the maximum shelf-loading internally .......
