I'm not a plasterer but it doesn't look that good to me. Not exactly glassy smooth. Overworked maybe? Our resident expert @nod will I expect comment. How big an area? If the plasterer has gone / you don't want him / the grief back then Gyproc EasiFill 20 is useful.
mvincentd Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Phew, was hoping nod was taking the P... , didn't want to have to question his standards! I know nothing except what mine was like, I didnt have one square inch that rough.
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 That looks lovely I'm just concerned as it was over paint with distemper in and only pva applied that it will fall off
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 This was his last plastering job so think I need to trade him in
joe90 Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 I have certainly seen a lot better, I would not be pleased if that were my house!
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 Thanks for your response this is his unfinished non painted wall
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 Does anyone no best way to get rid of distemper in a whole house soft and hard distemper
ProDave Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 7 minutes ago, Diy said: Does anyone no best way to get rid of distemper in a whole house soft and hard distemper Me and SWMBO spent many a happy hour scraping the horrible stuff off the ceiling of a previous 1930's house. Awful stuff to remove as while much of it was flaking off (the reason for removing it all) much of it was still stuck solid and took a lot of stripping. Wetting it with the wallpaper steamer helped a bit but just ensured it was a sticky gooey mess that came off.
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 Can you give me anymore info on ot and roughly time scale it would take to remove and is there any chance you have a private email adress so I can send you pictures of the house much appreciated
