I thought photo was uploaded sorry

Sorry, a few of us couldn't resist.

I'm not a plasterer but it doesn't look that good to me. Not exactly glassy smooth. Overworked maybe? Our resident expert @nod will I expect comment. How big an area?

If the plasterer has gone / you don't want him / the grief back then Gyproc EasiFill 20 is useful.

Phew, was hoping nod was taking the P... , didn't want to have to question his standards!  I know nothing except what mine was like, I didnt have one square inch that rough.

That looks lovely I'm just concerned as it was over paint with distemper in and only pva applied that it will fall off

Does anyone no best way to get rid of distemper in a whole house soft and hard distemper

Me and SWMBO spent many a happy hour scraping the horrible stuff off the ceiling of a previous 1930's house.  Awful stuff to remove as while much of it was flaking off (the reason for removing it all) much of it was still stuck solid and took a lot of stripping.

Wetting it with the wallpaper steamer helped a bit but just ensured it was a sticky gooey mess that came off.

Can you give me anymore info on ot and roughly time scale it would take to remove and is there any chance you have a private email adress so I can send you pictures of the house much appreciated

I have certainly seen a lot better, I would not be pleased if that were my house!

I would be happy if my plastering was that good.

Tried it 3 times, 3 total failures.

I hate wet trades.

In our last house we had distemper on the brickwork of one wall which we wanted plastered so we used a scutch hammer with a wide comb.
