Got a pic taken further back?

Bespoke stainless bog roll holder? Just a flat plate with a capped tube welded on & sticking out. Stick it on the tiles.

A Quinetic switch and use as a disabled call button?

Ash tray?

A bit of walk on glass to forever remind you of you & @pocster's mistake...

How on earth do I fill it up / camouflage it elegantly?

What was it intended for ?

A small Euromodule light. But I was persuaded to change the layout of the shower: and now the lighting point is directly in line with the shower flow .... ?

I did ask the tiler no to cut a hole there.

If the light is IP65 then i would put it in regardless

Ask the tiler to replace the tile as you told him not to cut it!. However, as you have cable there are you not liable to have access to it (new build electrics not allowed to have hidden joins so I am told).

The WAGO blocks are considered maintenance free. The bigger issue is if someone decides to drill into that wall later and there's nothing to say there's a bunch of wires there. In that case back to a blanking plate or obvious electrical accessory (light).
