readiescards replied to ToughButterCup's topic in Tools & Equipment

There's very little detail like that available. Wait and see.

Mine is waiting for eBay, as decided in the end to get a newer unit from BPC instead. Any one after a (very) Mvhr unit? -

So all of a sudden today I became the principal contractor (as well as the client) with my name in both sections of the F10 Following on from the advice in BuildHub.org CDM F10 I've so far organized: * to get the Construction Phase plan from the old main contractor * SelfBuild insurance (from Aviva) * my partner (a ex-IT Project Manager) to help with the project management I was wondering if anyone had any top tips to share on what to do to full fill the Self Builder Principal Contractor role legally ( to satisfy H&S) without going overboard.

readiescards replied to readiescards's topic in General Flooring
Here's the only writing I can find on an unused board, so yep appears to be Egger E1 P5. Thanks for comments will 'discuss'. -
First flooring sag - what is acceptable?

I finally got my temp windows in last weekend (the sag picture was taken a bit before). Internorm coming to site Monday :-) Two (and just two of the boards) have a hard grey coating, will go to site and have a proper look -
First flooring sag - what is acceptable?
readiescards replied to readiescards's topic in General Flooring
Been a lot of rain and no windows yet. Floor was laid by main contractor maybe 4 months ago way before roof was put up. I believe it is waterproof chipboard, brand unknown -
Is this sag in the chipboard first floor covering anything to be concerned about? Will be under carpet eventually Thanks Paul

I asked them that exact question last week! Waiting to hear, will let you know

Thanks just read CDM 2015 part 4. I can foreseen someone cutting themselves on site, therefore the implication is I need to provide basic first aid kit on site somewhere. Correct? Is this happening in practice? Fire fighting: am I expected to provide a fire extinguisher?

Does the CDM F10 'Notification of construction project' apply to a self builder who is project managing?
