  1. Failing that I suppose I could 3d print a cr2 battery stick a wire on either end and then supply 3v off the poe …
  2. So I’m on about installing these in a device and having them usb charging …
  3. D cells was just the screenshot I took - they do all cell sizes . Most zigbee stuff is cr2 . This effectively in theory is charging the battery whilst in the device . So stick a poe usb connector to this and hopefully have a device that never needs the battery changed . Z wave stuff seems to have far more usb chargeable devices than zigbee . Forget all the 5 yr / 2yr battery life on a sensor - it’s pants .
  4. Because she likes pipes 😉
  5. Forums always been full of flakes
  6. Though the liquified gas cooker use may be interesting 🤣
  7. Anyone tried anything like this ? All battery stuff is pants . This in theory sounds good ……
  8. Installed another in the kitchen . Currently on test . Forgot they can be a pain to config as need to add to Aqara app , then HomeKit , then remove from HomeKit so home assistant home kit addon finds them . A few hours of messing then trialing to remove ghosting , late response time etc . Picking us both up in the kitchen sat down ( so minimal movement ) - almost perfect .
  9. Hut a.k.a sex dungeon
  10. I have a habit ( natural ability ) to (expletive deleted) things up. So I will go down this route but VERY carefully ..... 😎
  11. Ooooooo. I do have SetApp but don't know login credentials ( asked my installer for them ). I do have full access via the web portal though.... Once I go down this route I do want a way back ( i.e. incase I (expletive deleted) up ) so that the web portal ToU settings still work... that possible? Cheers! - new thing to play with and break!
  12. This is what confused me . I see “ modbus” I.e additional hardware . Then I also see it on tcp . My SE inverter connection is across their zigbee though - can I still get modbus access ??
  13. Guess it depends on the house layout . I was well impressed how dry stuff becomes just put on an airer with mvhr - but yes perhaps I haven’t done the softness test …
  14. Mvhr negates need for a TD 😊
  15. I have this model of mvhr and was initially prepared to wire a wireless relay to boost it based off a humidity sensor in bathroom etc . The reality was ; as the run ( deliberately ! ) is very short to bathroom and ensuite it automatically boosts itself within 30 seconds of a shower / bath . So I would ‘allow’ for wiring to boost it but in practise may not be necessary.
  16. Typo ? Years surely ? 🫤🤣
  17. I have found in the past as a LL - if the work quality is plainly “ sub standard “ you tell the tradesman you’re not going to pay . 9/10 if you stand up they back down - if not you say you’re gonna bust their face . It’s not nice , it’s not “ who I am “ - but honestly ; they’ll square up if they think they have a chance .
  18. Splitting the plot would be a dream ontop of your existing dream . An important point @Bozza makes is that even for a super fit stud of a man like me after 11yrs my back and knees are (expletive deleted)ed . Chiropractor couldn’t believe what I had done on my own ( amount and weight of materials ) - guaranteeing a shagged back .
  19. Yeah most likely . Those socket points were a bit high . Tbf that’s how I do my socket holes .
  20. I thought he was just making holes for socket back boxes …
  21. Mouser is good ! I’m waiting on my esp32 s3 box 3 - out of stock everywhere. Then replace Alexa with local voice recognition 😊
  22. There’s also … https://shop.everythingsmart.io/products/everything-presence-one-kit As a diy kit ( a bit cheaper ) . I’ve ordered another fp2 as I was so impressed …..
  23. I’m just assuming bco might be picky . I’m going for a pre hung door so as relatively expensive want to get it right. I’ll do as you suggest 👍
