  1. Got really (expletive deleted)ed off with this . All the videos - it’s real simple , no effort . Decided it was time for pliers - pulled the (expletive deleted)er apart . Tiny white clips came out with pipe . Ffs
  2. New filter has slots - like a Hep2o disconnect key …
  3. These end caps are meant to go over the end of the filter then according to ‘easy’ videos you just push in and pipe slides out . My end caps have a thread whilst the filter doesn’t ….
  4. Can’t get this out . Blue clip off easily enough . Depress what ring ? It’s solid plastic . Pipe won’t just pull out … removal tool required ??
  5. If only ; I could claim 11 yrs of Labour …
  6. Glass ; don’t talk to me about glass …
  7. Only on Fridays at the blue parrot
  8. You’ll be fine . As an expert on glazing situations you can trust my judgement. I’ve over 11k of posts and 3 followers ( what is wrong with these people ) - so can safely say I’m not a troll . 🤣
  9. Facebook ‘randomly’ showed me this . Looks interesting … https://cozyhoome.com/products/silicone-thread-seal-tape?variant=48130347630866
  10. I did .
  11. And as if by magic I appeared …
  12. This end cap drain is right on the macerator output . So I assume bit of water pressure and vibration aren’t helping - or should an end cap ( with suitable washer ) be sufficient anyway in this situation ?
  13. Yeah it’s a skinny washer . Very thin . Not brittle or split . I’ll order a new end cap with washer . Replace and see . I did assume hand tighten was meant to be sufficient.
  14. That’s what it has already . By pure luck I bumped into a plumber and just mentioned the issue . He gave me a tube of this …. This do the job ? Ok to use ? . Not glue it !!?
  15. Wisely I installed one of these so I can drain the outlet pipe from macerator . Had a few times where I need to drain it . Problem is this cap leaks - it’s just a screw cap with a washer . I’ve tightened with grips but can’t really go any further . Are all end caps equal ? . Nothing I can smear round the thread that will make a water tight seal but won’t glue the cap on !!? . I did think of plumbers tape - but it’s too awkward to get to …
  16. Ffs . These are the ‘professionals’ yes . (expletive deleted) me … 😵‍💫
  17. Replace . Is op planning to tile this floor ? I.e no chance of ‘easily’ fixing later if a leak …
  18. I’d crane that in . Have before . Otherwise it’s a heavy mofo situation
  19. Acro props . Cheap to buy - with some wedges so they don’t drift . I had to do this for a large concrete ceiling . Rather than hire 50 of them I bought them . Left them in situ for 3 months - SE said 1 month was enough . But you know ….
  20. Looks like someone dropped their nuts through the floor twice .

  21. @nod this type of thing ?
  22. So clean any grit etc off then just spray the entire track ? ( not just the wheel runners ) .
  23. Sliding doors at the rear have become very difficult to open. I assume grit etc. is causing the issue. How should I clean this to get a smooth action again?; just tip water over track to flush out grit?; wd 40? Cheers
  24. Could possibly be worth renting something - having all the bills there in wife’s/ husbands name . If the VAT outweighs the rental costs . What a tangled web we weave when we first deceive.
